Ratchet Deadlocked for the PS2 still tops above average of platforming games!
You play as Ratchet through different challenges using Gagets and weapons to survive each tournament. To earn bolts, or money you have to complete the dread challenges or by taking down enemies and breaking objects. The combat is fast and it is deeper into weapon upgrades but there is less gagets. Each Touranment throws more and more enemies at you as you have upgraded your weapons and armor. Also with each weapon level up it will become faster and stronger. Ratchets health is also upgraded everytime your nanotech is upgraded from combat experience.
The controlls are excellent and switching your weapon does not interfere with gameplay. The challenges are short and you are inturrupted alot by the stats from each completed challenge but there is alot of them. There are also different planets you can access to as you gain more dread points and badges.
The cons of Ratchet Deadlocked is that it isnt as humorous as the other ones, it can be completed in about 8 hours, there are only two other main characters that are broght back from the previous ones, and you dont have clank along side in combat with you.
This game is still a masterpiece of platform games and contains the same combat style and gameplay as the other Ratchet and Clank games.
