A most entertaining game, with lots of stuff to do.

Now, I know I shouldn't compare this to Jaks, but what can you do :P When it comes to starting the series, Ratchet takes the points home. Where Jak & Daxter was just a kiddie's version of Crash Bandicoot, offered Ratchet something new and different. Lots and lots of weapons and gadgets to play with, humour and nice and long platform play. Well, it's not a perfect game, there's some frustration happening, and it just didn't grab me has tightly as I would've wanted, but it's still a great game. It's also nice that you end up using most of your weapons rather frequently, if not always, so choosing the ones for the quick select isn't always too easy. The boss battle wasn't too difficult, but it took me a couple of tries to finish it. It's also nice that the game isn't over when you finish him off, but you still have stuff to collect.
