mid 90s street ball

Similar to my review of Def Jam: Fight for New York, I didn't come to this game because I was a fan of basketball games, particularly. It appealed to me as a hip-hop fan.

That said, there isn't anything too stand out about this game - you move through a series of games n simple looking basketball courts in one on one games to win a championship. It does play smoothly though and you won't be wasting time trying to pick complex pass, shoot, dribble schemes.

The list of available players reflects the times: Flava Flav, members of Naughty by Nature, Yo-Yo, LL Cool J etc.

You can finish off the championship mode fairly quickly but it retains a replayable fun factor through pick up matches 1 or 2 players.

I would recommend this to anyone feeling nostalgic about some of hip-hop's forgotten stars, and anyone who wants a quick pick and play game of street ball. Otherwise, you're probably better off on the real courts outside.
