Eh...not really...

User Rating: 5.5 | Rampage: Puzzle Attack GBA
Released: November 29, 2001
Developers: Midway, Ninai Games
Game Genre: Action

Opening Thoughts:
The first Rampage title on the Gameboy Advance surprised everybody. It was not a beat-‘em-up action game that involved killing people and destroying video games. Instead, Midway decided to go with a puzzle game.

Story (2/10)
The lack of a storyline hurts this game. Basically, you choose a character and try to rescue your other monster friends…by solving puzzles.

Gameplay (5/10)
The gameplay is okay because it has a wide variety of possibilities. First, Rescue Mode is the basic storyline, in which you play a Tetris-like game and try to free your friends. Marathon Mode (like in every puzzle game) allows you to play continually until the blocks reach the top. Other game modes allow you to solve smaller puzzle and advance to another.

Graphics (7/10)
Graphics are neither good nor bad.

Improvements (N/A)
Previous Games: Rampage World Tour (Gameboy Color) Rampage II: Universal Tour (Gameboy Color)

I didn’t rate this category because of the radical change from a beat-‘em-up to a puzzle genre.

Durability (4/10)
If you enjoy Tetris or other puzzle games, then this game will be fun to play when you are bored. If you don’t enjoy puzzle games, don’t play this one.
