Found Darrak's gear, but Darrak is no longer in moss stone swamp?

I'm currently playing postgame, but somehow I missed Darrak's gear before completing the storyline. I just found it by accident looking for rainbow medals.
Now I can't seem to find Darrak anymore in the Moss Stone Swamp.

Did he move somewhere else, is it a glitch, or am I not looking in the right place?
