Raiden II...quite a fun game to play on your spare time! It's a 2D game...with some traits of a 3D game. Although the graphic aint' the greatest, it is still quite fun to play with, and easy to learn, too...nothing hard going on. There are 4 levels of difficulty. The more level the difficulty, the more enemy there is, and the powerful the enemy's weapon (travel faster..etc). Your weapons...there are 3 kinds: red, blue, and purple (I'm not sure of the weapons' real names). Each time you collect one piece of the same kind of weapon, the more powerful it gets. For example, if u have red weapon, and you get a red piece, your red weapon increases strength and area. If you get a blue piece or purple piece while having a red weapon, you weapon does NOT gain level, only the weapon kind changes, you'll have to collect the same piece color as ur weapon color in order to increase weapon level. There's also pieces called "M(yellow)" (missile...goes straight ahead, more powerful than homer) and "H(green)" (Homer, goes in all directions, follows enemy, less powerful than missile). These also work the same way as weapons, you collect same kind in order for it to gain quantity and strength. There's also this piece called "P". This maximizes EVERY WEAPON (red/purple/blue/homer/missile)! It is rare. Also there are "B"...which are bombs. It'll give u extra bomb (depending which one you choose at the beginning of the game...either atomic bomb or spread bomb. They are greatly limited, but exceptionally powerful! Comparing the red/blue/purple weapon, in general, the blue weapon is the strongest, then the red weapon, then the purple weapon. Although blue weapon is strong, the area of it is very limited...only straight ahead of where you jet is. The red weapon is second powerful, and shoots in ALL directions ahead of you!! Convenient for one player when going through area crowded with enemies. The purple one, although the weakest, is VERy VERY convenient...most people will find it comfortable using it. It shoots a purple beam, and once it touches an enemy, it sticks to it until enemy dies! (because of weak power, sometimes it takes time). VERY useful for a place with crowded weak enemies. The actually skill in the game is actually dodging the bullets of the enemy. Sometimes you get a whole pile of bullet coming at you, and you would have to find a safe path out of that in a very very short time....reflexes!! It's quite challenging...especially in the hardest mode and in higher levels! There is two player max for this game. If you play two players, try letting one of the players follow close behind the other player, and the back player shoot weapon. once the weapon gets through the front player, it creates a very special effect sometimes useful for large #s of enemy! ......that's all...I pretty much described the GAME. o one more thing, it's got 8 levels.
