How come RO2 is #1 in top 10 games ? lol its no way near to WOW or GW2. For me the best MMO out there is GW2. :)
1 Like after how baddly gravity fubar the original in balance I no longer intrested in ro2 in fact the only reason i put up with them fubar the game for 10+ years was i love the sprites which are now gone
This game...huh. Well technically this is RO2.5 since the original game was released and then pulled back and remade because it didn't really do that well in South Korea. But that's that, I wonder if it's good.
Seriously, this game is being released waaaaaaay too late and is outdated. They should've gone ahead years ago when RO fanbase was still alive. Such a waste of awesome Yoko Kanno music. :(
Trust me guys this game sucks very much much, 1 its graphically outdated 2 gameplay sucks since you can't build your character specific roles e.g critical assasins/hunters/knights/etc or tanker or WoE/PvE/PvP/PvM type which really is a big let down , unlike the first release of RO1 which had really a HUGE IMPACT on what role your character will be but RO2??? f*ck there aint any but just generic builds even the WISDOM stat is useless...
So to anyone outthere who wants to try this trash and already played the RO1, well i bet you you'll get bored and go back to RO1 gameplay and technicality wise and i don't give a f*ck about graphics...
Maybe newbies might get attracted to this due to it's simplicity/non technical character/item builds but meh, i'll just stick to RO1 or go play DRAGON NEST...

1. It was in development hell for almost 10 years.
2. It should've of stayed there.
The most important thing you need to know in fact is Asiasoft is a TERRIBLE company. I had been an Asiasoft customer for many years and their services is pathetic. As a customer who spend thousand of dollar in the game, Asiasoft BANNED me 4 months ago from the game, they accused me for hacking which I did not hack the game at all. I was simply forced to quit the game which I love.
Don't let this happen to you...
@NeldeDarkfold they already did, to me. And i heard that this RO2 has server problems, it's hard to relog in.
1 Like There was absolutely nothing in that video that set it aside from other MMOs, besides maybe the card system, which we've still already seen variations of. I guess maybe you can give it a pass because of what a benchmark, influential MMO the first one was, but, something (anything!) different would have been nice.
2 Like @Dradeeus yea this looked as generic as any other mmorpgs out there...don't get me wrong..i am a big fan of the 1st game and im more than willling to give this game a chance but judging from what ive seen so far ...there seems to very little this game has got to offer..
I would have LOVED another game like the 1st, but this is in full 3D, so it's not for me at all... They think too much of graphics, they were different at least...
The open beta isn't region locked. Anyways the game is really bad and has nothing to do with the greatness of the original Ragnarok Online. This is just another World of Warcraft clone.
there is a vita version but the reviews are mixed and only 'fair' at best. I was going to buy it until I read the reviews. I think you can download from the playstation store, too.
@yogibbear Exactly what I was thinking. The appeal of the first was the high def 2D sprites and expansive world. This video makes me think they sequel is just a rehash with underwhelming previous gen 3D GFX. It will flop on the first day.

Awful beta. Feels so much more different from the original, feels more like SEAL rather than RO. I prefer the original.
I wish Gallagher would take a melon mallet to the heads of developers of generic mmo games, they obviously wouldn't suffer a further decrease in creative ability or else their games don't suggest that...

1 Like Wow graphics for another generic asian MMORPG. You could expect something better than this for a sequel but, why risk?
Besides Ragnarok fans i doubt this one will make any success. Maybe even Ragnarok fans won't leave they game for this wow skinned version.
