Okay, I'm not sure how anyone can say this is that similar to Fallout with exception of the nuclear wasteland theme that is going on. Fallout is an RPG at its core with vastly different gameplay mechanics. This will be a free roam FPS with light RPG elements at best. id is in the business of shooters, not RPG's. Bethesda is on board for their artistic background in this genre no doubt and will probably help build a decent story, but it's definitely not to make another Fallout. Lets all keep in mind, not everything id touches is gold these days. They have some legendary IP's, but they haven't produced any critically acclaimed hit in a very long while. They seem to put all their resources into amazing graphics and gameplay/story suffer. Let's hope this turns out to be something special. The enemies look pretty sick.
seems like sequel of fallout...with higher graphics and better action(hope so). though id games never let down.

Is it really that bad that it looks similar to Borderlands? I loved Borderlands!!! 100% completion. This looks to be just as good if not better in many regards. Rage looks like it may be more story driven. Overall, I can't wait. I want it now!

Please stop comparing this to New Vegas or calling it a New Vegas clone. They've had screen shots of this game available before Fallout 3 even had a release date.
fallout new vegas????please tell us,that it will not have any of that crap.like bugs and good or bad???even when nobody is around.you could kill one of the sides.and you still will get screwed!!!!it's will be alot better.it will because of ps3!!!
Man I'm really excited for this game it has been a long time coming(since 2007)Finally this game comes out this year looks to be phenomenal. To those who are comparing this game to the two most recent Fallout games rage was actually in production first Fallout 3 was able to release b4 Rage and get a sequel and both those game were great so just imagine how amazing Rage is surly to be considering the extended time it has had in development. And after Id wraps this game up they can move onto Doom 4 which is another game of there's I'm hotly anticipating.
People seem to not know that Rage was in development and had been announced long before Borderlands was.I'm just tired of everyone saying this is a "Borderlands Clone".
I can't wait. The last major thing id did was Doom 3. As great as it was then, it was mostly just Doom updated into the modern age. Not that it's a bad thing, but it wouldn't be a "great" game today as it's a very basic shooter (great then though).
So, it's a good thing they're trying something new and I'm sure it will be awesome to play.
Bethesda seem to be releasing some good games this year such as: Rage, The elder scrolls v sky-rim and brink but i'm not so sure about hunted the demons forge. Anyway I haven'y played Fallout or Borderlands so this should be a completely new experience for me.
am a gr8 fan of quake series...this game seems good but quite similar to fallout new vegas
This looks great. I loved Metro 2033/Stalker and that whole style of game. Hopefully this will take something from that atmosphere of those games and make it something more than just a standard shooter. ID hasn't failed to deliver in the past though so let's hope.
@Gooeykat nope- its got boomerangs too bethesda does a decent job at buildin a rich bak story + Id is alright at workin narrative in to action and its been in the works for a fukin long time (4+ years since i first heard of it i think) so it better be good
They have a date now was suppose to come out in 2009 when i read about it in 2007 i wonder if it will really appear cos dates can change.

Or maybe id was talking about the idTech 6 that will be used in Doom4 and will be a better version of tech in RAGE. Just a wild guess..
Why bother getting this when ID have said themselves that DOOM 4 will be better. Then again a Borderlands and Fallout clone won't be bad.

Yeah, looks like a more serious borderlands, but for sure better. Damn, to many freaken games coming out this year and i don't have the time or money for all of em lol
looks awesome with all the many games i want this year i will have no time or money...but i will have a great lot of fun :)
