@retro_rated do you really need another rpg or racing game? what do you expect that every game will invent a new genre? if you are going to see a marvel's movie or a horror film or whatever its the same, we have already "seen it all", bottom line, we only want to have some fun and entertainment. even if this game doesn't looks 10/10 its still looks fun game in my opinion.
your saying ID is ripping other developers off? imho it's the other way around. But I agree, _I_ don't need another fps.
......and so the Borderlands rip-offs commence. Developers constantly moan about gamers pirating & copying games and say it's ruining the industry. They need to take a closer look to realise that it's the developers ruining things by ripping off eachother's ideas and releasing copycat games just for the cash. There is rarely any originality today! ANOTHER FPS? Really? Do we really need that?
@Dark_December I would say Frostbite 2 is more powerful and without getting into a platform war, it was designed for the better systems with no holding back..so its got more eye candy and more function but only time will tell how FB2 will hold up on release date. Either way, this game is sort of the dark horse of releases this year..I think it'll do surprisingly well.
Is this ID engine better than Frosbite 2? Surely Frosbite has more destructible mechanics but this one looks gorgeous.
Actually Borderlands is my first association with this video. Don't know if that's bad or good, but game seems to have some fun in it (that is good).
