I read some reviews and watched some videos of this game and decided to pick it up. The first thing I did after I opened it up was to make my own soundtrack, from MP3's on my computer. That's one of the best features of the game right there. The loading times between races and menus are bearable, but could use a little improvement. You start off as a rookie driver with a Scotsman as a driving coach in the career mode, but he's tolerable. Racing mechanics are unbelievable, and a lot of fun. The AI in the game is less than intelligent but you'll feel great finishing podium every game undoubtedly. Another cool feature was the pit-stops, one of the firsts I've seen in a racing game. The ability to choose your car in the career mode is unavailable, making it a little frustrating driving a big F-150 instead of the GT40 you really want. Another of my favourite parts of the game is the world tour, where you drive in different circuits and event around the world. The Rally racing in the game is a lot of fun, with a real-time co-pilot giving you the heads up on the race track, like "Five right into long four left" just like a real rally game. This game also has Nascar and Formula Ford type races, and the amount of cars on a track at the same time goes upwards of 24 which is pretty high up there, especially in comparison to Need For Speed's limitation of only four. Definitely worth the money and the time!
