Excellent way to close out a franchise, if in fact, it must end.

Excellent way to end a series ...if it must end. Even though I'm a hardcore SCHUMP fan I must say I am impressed. Will it go down as one of the best ever....only time will till for this game but with the 101 ships and level randomization it brings massive replay value to the table in the same vein as Radiant Silvergun did with it's playability when it reared it's awesome head, even though Final is not as inventive as the later mentioned game. The sound has an eerie fell to it but does have some pulsing beats by the Blue Group. I guess the real complinent is in the evident slowdown from time to time, but that is not Finals fault its the old PS2 graphics processors fault. All in all impressive gameplay spectacular lightning and color effects, however the background is alittle bland. A must have for shooter and r-type fans and the $29.99 price tag will even make the casual gamer smile. Buy it and show support for this dying gaming genre it has a place in the gaming world.
