"Almost, but not quite"

No 007 game seems to quite measure up to Goldeneye 007 on the Nintendo 64. The game set a standard for first-person shooters and for Bond games. However, EA managed to make quality products with Everything or Nothing, Agent Under Fire, and From Russia With Love. The Bond franchise for gaming these days is held by Activision, and while the game could use some polish, it's easy to see that effort was made.

Graphics: 7/10 The game's graphics lack a certain finish to them, making them rather bland in different places. The effects could be better and the animation could possibly be smoother.

Sound: 9/10 Daniel Craig and Judi Dench do well with the voiceovers, but the remaining voiceovers from Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace are missing. The sounds of weapons are well-done and the soundtrack is good.

Control: 9/10 The control is generally good, but the aiming could use some work.

Content: 9/10 In general, it's a good game. It's nothing revolutionary, but it's reasonably solid nonetheless. Most games based on movies tend to be terrible, but as I said in the preface, a decent effort was made here.
