A very solid, fun, puzzle rpg that will keep you happy.
the point is to match a rage gem(colored skull) with a battle gem(spiky star-shaped thing). if you can blow up one rage gem, ur rage will go up one, once it hits five, your character slashes at the opponent. the middle line dividing the playing field will move towards your opponent. so all their gems that were right on the line will be on your side of the field now, for you to use.
And of course their field gets smaller. just like tetris, if your gems and things reach the end, you die. the point is to make them die first obviously. There are multiple difficulty levels, including "casual" which is easy enough for grandma to beat, and "deathbringer" which is fast paced, intense, action packed puzzle battling. and normal ones like easy and hard in between. you get more gold the tougher the difficulty you play on is, so you get rewarded for being brave.
A lot more things can happen in the battle, like matching four, 2x2 of one colored gem and it will make a bigger block, and when you blow that up, yay.
Its great when you start crushing them with combos, boom boom boom. Its fun to see your warrior(on the top screen of the ds) start going nuts on the opponent, that middle line moving quickly towards their side, and knowing you got it won.
This game came under the radar, but its addictive and fun, a nice addition to the genre.
