Punch out! (wii) review

Plot
Hey this is me and I'll be reviewing a franchise that was lost for 15 years and is now back to kick some butt. The main character is little Mac trying to become champion with the help of Doc Louis. For the plot, it's not good, and for someone who's new into playing this game is not going to be understood. But they say the plot is that after being rejected from many coaches he finds Doc Louis, heavyweight champion for boxing and they start their journey.
The game is set to be around the beginning or so. But who really cares about it when the game play is more important.

The game play is very unique to the first NES game, and very fun as well. It's literally the same thing except for these things. You cannot dodge uppercuts anymore, you can dodge uppercuts from the other direction, same thing goes for hooks but few others can be blocked, almost all the attacks that your opponent throws can be countered and most of them can be yielded with stars, your opponent will taunt you leaving them open giving a free star (same as in the NES version.), if you use your star punch it will all be drained and you will have none, your star punches will be saved per each round, there are instant knockouts and for you to still fight when you've been knocked out or in stand knockout opportunities, decisions are made by the most damage done, instant KO are not counted by the referee, and same thing goes for star punch knockdowns where they would've been 10-counted.

There are 14 opponents in the game, but there's 1 secret opponent in the game that I can't even tell you, all I'll tell you play him in Mac's last stand mode. Yes there are 6 modes in the game and the 6th one you get from playing an amount of oppenents in Mac's last stand. Here are the modes I'll show you:
Minor circuit: This is where your career will start, and these boxers suck crap except for king hippo, he'll hit you hard.
Major circuit: This is the next level in the game, you will face people that are far better than the losers back but they're puny and weak!
World circuit: This is like Major league baseball, except we're not playing baseball. These boxers will destroy you and just hope you're not crying to your moma because these people are stronger than you (except for Aran Ryan).
Title Defence: These people want revenge and they're pretty pissed and they want your belt!
Mac's last stand: You lost 3 matches and you're about to retire if you have six, so keep surviving through the people in title defence.
Champion's mode: The mode that even Glass Joe can knock you out! Isn't that cheap?!?!?!?

The are 2 new boxers in the game and many opponents coming back in the game such as the fat lard, King Hippo. It's very fun solving their pattern in the game and it's funny who stereotypical the game can be with the people's accent and their language, and every time you get knocked they'll always say trash at you. And it's funny of how the knockout animations per each opponent are. They have a multiplayer mode so you can your friend can battle each other, and it's fun as well. The multiplayer works like this, there's a blue thing rising up when you face your friend when it gets full you turn into Giga Mac and it's like a man boxing a gorilla (Bet he was called Big Mac, but couldn't because Fatdonalds would sue them). But how could you can transform into giga mac in multiplayer mode? If you keep dodging without any scratch that bar or power (whatever it's called), and if you've done enough and it's full, then you'll turn into this bad ass bastard. But what I really about the game is that the game has no wi-fi, and it's pretty disappointing, how such a good game would not have wi-fi, Super smash bros brawl had wi-fi why can't this? And this is also a major flaw in the game. But the game is also quite addictive, and I'll tell you something too! The difficulty is not hard that will piss you off or too easy so you can just throw the game away to the garbage. All you have to do is solve their strategies and beat them in your own game!

The controls in this game are okay but not great, they have a new way to play this game, a nuchuck but however, it will tire you out and sometimes the problem with wireless controllers is sometimes it will not respond and it's really a pain in da butt. They also allow to your use your balance board but really? Really? Should I ask you, really? The balance does not help in this game, best if you use the balance board for something else instead of this. It's best if we played back then from the NES, with the A+B buttons and you + button as well.
The graphics in this game have very improved since the last time we've played a punch out game, in the SNES age. It's all 3D and it's very detailed. The fighters in the NES version were ugly as hell, but in this game, they have much improved. I like how everything looks, the way the leagues are and how nice or dirty it is. It's trying to be realistic as possible, except it's a cartoon. But really, for a game that hasn't came back in 15 years, there has been improvement. I wonder how the graphics will be with kid Icarus.

The replay value is very good especially with the Exhibition Mode, where you can play your opponents again and try beating your own record when the first time you either sucked ass or you did excellent. But you can also practice your own opponents before battling them, but after you won after him, well you have to face with that practice. But it has really good replay value so you can keep playing it.

The music is very good expecially when the music itself got remaked but the problem is that it's not that classic enough. For me as a hardcore gamer, I wish they have an option where you can have your music from the NES, it would've been a cool cheat or Easter egg. I like it how they have the match music from their type of heritage. But the music is great as the game is, the ending music is raw and cool Trust me, I'll have this game as having good music. But in my opinion, ocarina, Mario galaxy, pokemon silver and gold, and Tetris have really good music.

Overall, the game is very good but it still has some bad parts to the game, but usually all good games have to have something bad in it. We need Criticism, if it was all perfect then why the hell are we reviewing games? But however getting on topic, it's nice to see a almost lost franchise being revived by Nintendo again and it's very interesting to see it remaked with it's better graphics. I hope to see more games from this franchise soon, but I hope it doesn't get too carried away and starts getting bad like what happened to mega man. Anyways here are the scores for the game. This was a pretty hard choice to score on but here it is. This is my true honest opinion of the game, I don't care if you me "the bomb" But I can do the anything I want.

Game play= 9.5/10
Plot= 1/10
Graphics-= 1010
Controls= 6/10
Music= 9/10

Punch out gets a 8.7 out of 10, nice to see this game again in 3D.
