Little content, easy opponets, and terrible A.I. make this game worse than it could of been. Still fun with buds though.

User Rating: 7.5 | Punch-Out!! WII
Punch out for the NES was an amazing game, Mike Tyson was horribly hard to beat, and little mac made you cry when he finally won, just like in Rocky. Well when we heard there would be a new punch out for the Wii, we didnt know what to expect, would it be good, bad, or just run of the mill decent? Well in my opinion, this game is very run of the mill decent. There is little content, theres a VS. mode, carrer that is extremely short, and an A.I. controlled Exibihtion mode. But the best is that its fun to play with others, and thats always a positive in Wii games.

The gameplay is very simplistic and fun. Its a simple masquerade of duck, dodge, and counter punch. You use the two remotes to play the nunchuck and Wiimote. The controls are so simple a 5 year old can play. To duck you use the nunchucks pad, and to punch up in the face hold up then swing away! These controls are a major positive, unless your a hardcore gamer, then its just no fun at all and simply no challenge. The chracaters you will face can be extremely easy and funny or so hard that it takes even a hardcore gamer 4 tries. Original chracaters from the first punch out return and some new ones are added. If you like simplistic gameplay then this is the game for you.

A unique power up system is also present in Punch-Out!!, when an opponet, glows yellow quickly and you succesfully punch him you get a star for a power punch. So when you counter hit an enemy and hes stunned, you get a certain amount of shots, a number between 5-6, you hold down a and swing, its unleashes a lil mac big punch which is very fun and cool to wacth.

Getting up in the game after getting knocked down is kinda of to easy and cheesy, it suggests you harshly go up and down to get up, but i discovered all you have to do is lightly bat your controls up and down. This is also a negative about the game.

Playing with others is the highlight of this game, its competitive, and very fun, if you have a family or many friends, get this game, if you live alone and play your PS3 and 360 all day, forget it. The fun use of dodge and punch in the VS. mode is very fun, and great for parties.

Graphically this game is e very artistic, the carttoon strip like graphics make you feel like your in a new gen version of the original which is just what you want! This looks amazing on the Wii to, no hiccups, clean chracaters, and awesomely short load times.

This game has lots of personality, each chracater is uniquely funny and has something about him thats just a crack up. Like Glass Joe the first opponent you face, his record is 1-99, and hes a skinny pole, its hilarious and you just want to kick his but, then theres, people liek TIger the genie like creeper that has ghosts of himself, its just great. Your personall coach who was also in the original still loves chocaltate bars and hes a great motivation when playing the short carreer mode.

The carreer mode is very simple and short. You must fight your way through 3 circuits, the ameteur one, pro, and idk i think World Circuit, you must win each belt by beating all boxers in that circuit, its simple and ends in literally 3 hours, just waaaay to short.

All in all this game could of been a lot better, but failed. Its still a great game, but not what i thought it was gonna be.
