Punch Out for the Wii has got to be one of the greatest Punch Outs ever!
Gameplay: Now Nintendo knew that if they were going to create a new punch out there should be more then just pushing two buttons. They give you the choice to use the nunchuk and the wii remote to actually punch the people, use the wii balance board, turn the wii remote to the side and use the buttons, or use an original NES controller. At first I thought that maybe it would be disappointing because I would get tired dodging and punching for hours, but to my surprise it was actually extremely fun. I played this game for a long time without getting bored. The difficulty is just right. Unlike the other punch outs this game is actually beatable. You just need to get used to the controls and learn the enemies attacks. Because of how addictive the gameplay was I am giving it a 9.0
Graphics: Most people love to rip on the Wii for its graphics. I know that the graphics are not as good as a PS3 or a 360 but when it comes to games like this the graphics can't go wrong. You get to see all different punch out characters and there amazing detail. Before every fight there is a short cut scene showing the people getting ready to fight Mac or doing other things like how Disco Kid dances in his cut scene. They are comic drawings and look great. Before Mac gets ready to challenge a new league it shows a cut scene of him training which looks absolutely amazing. Because of how much I enjoyed the wii's comeback on graphics I am giving graphics a 8.0
Sound: Here is where my review turns around. I wish they could of brought back some of the older music. After I would lose a fight or get destroyed in battle the music would just tick me off more. They could have put better music in but it wasn't that bad. But the sound is different. When blocked a punch or an opponent blocked a punch my wii remote made a sound. :) A lot of the sound felt realistic. It was great. This game had ok sound which is why I am giving sound a 7.5
Overall:This is a very fun game. If you are looking for a great multiplayer then this game is not it. But if you are looking for a great game with just the right difficulty and is extremely fun one player then I highly recommend this game. I rented it and I know it is going to be the next game I buy. This is a great game and I have decided to give it a 9.0
