This is a definite must for anyone!

What can I say? This game is damn near perfect. From the excellent and witty writing to the amazing gameplay, Psychonauts truly delivers on every level. It's a wonderfully twisted tale of a boy seeking to become a psychonaut, and in the process, save the entire camp. The levels are strange and quite varied, which is nice in a world where many platformers end up just regurgitating the same exact thing over and over. The psychic powers you earn throughout the game are great, helping you when you need it, and providing that extra something to the beauty of the game. The graphics in the game are awesome, and the voice-overs (which, if anyone follows some of my reviews, is one of my hot buttons in games) are truly top notch. Everything in this game works so well together. In many games I have played some of the levels or power-ups, or even the story seems tacked on, as kind of an after-thought of the developers trying to get more out of their game. Or maybe they just had a few really good ideas, and had no clue where to put them. And the boss battles are so fun, you can enjoy playing them again, even after you have beaten the game. The hidden items may seem a little tedious at times, but stay with it, and if you are skilled enough to find everything, you are rewarded with a bonus video at the end.
Only reason I say it is underappreciated is because it did not sell very well when it came out. We need to get out there and support games like this, support innovation, support original ideas, don't let these go to waste!
There aren't many games out there that I would pay full price for, or even more than full price if I had to, but this is one of them. If you don't have this yet, and know of a place that carries it, GO GET IT NOW!!!
