If I had to describe this game I would have to say its a very funny platformer that has a very unique feel.

So far there are a bunch of platformers on various systems, but mainly the PS2. The xbox has missed a great genre so far but after 6 hours with Psychonauts... Wow. I really think that Psychonauts is THE most original platformer in years. Ok so there is Ratchet and Clank, Jak, and Sly Cooper on the PS2. Mario is the main draw on the cube. But a wasteland is presented to us for the xbox. One thing, if you enjoyed any of the platformers on the box so far, I am not knocking you. There are some decent platformers, most multisystem. But there has been no games that said, "I am the definition of the genre for the xbox". Well all of that has changed, for the better. I just wish that Psychonauts had been released earlier in the life of the xbox. If it had been we would have had more people buying xboxs and enjoying this great game. As it stands if you like platform games but would rather play something that is smart, funny, and not made of Nerf, Psychonauts is for you. IMO this will be the xboxs answer to Jak and friends. I am not going to discuss the story, controls, gameplay or anything to do with the game. I believe it could spoil some of the humor of the game. I say this because I picked up Psychonauts on a suggestion of a friend. No previews, screenshots, articles, nothing, I went into Psychonauts with no clue what I was getting into. And I can say I have never had this much fun since Mario 64 on the n64. So in closing pick this game up, its one of the best and most enjoyable of the years.
