Psychonauts is one of the best games the original Xbox has to offer.

Psychonauts tells the story of Razputin a boy who dreams of becoming a psychonaut who one day decides to run away from his home in the circus and winds up in a summer camp for psychic kids. The camp counselors let Raz stay until his father comes and picks him up but soon strange things start to happen and its up to Raz to figure out whats going on. The best part of Psychonauts has to be the characters Raz meets during his adventures. He will meet a security guard who is obsessed with conspiracy theories, a mutant fish thing, an old man who seems to be at multiple places at the same time, and many more. The enviorments are very unique. All the enviorments, except the camp, are actually in the minds of the characters Raz meets. One has you going through a suburb that is floating in the air, is all topsy-turvy, and is filled with trench coat wearing agents and girl scouts. The game looks great. The art style really fits with the game.

The gameplay is standard platformer stuff like jumping, tightrope walking and pole swinging. But what sets it apart from other platformers are the psychic powers like pyrokinesis, invisibility, telekinesis and levitation. These powers are used to solve certain puzzles in the game. The story takes about 12 hours to finish unless you want to go back and collect everything there is to get in the game.

Psychonauts is a wonderful game that didn't get a lot of attention when it came out. For those who have not played it yet they should definitely try it out. So if you are looking for a creative, fun, and hilarious game Psychonauts is the game for you.
