Tiger Woods PGA Tour First Look

EA Games has revealed the first details on Tiger Woods PGA Tour for the Sony PSP handheld console. The new game will draw inspiration from EA's popular golf series, which has featured the likeness of superstar golfer Tiger Woods (along with many other professional golfers) and accessible golf gameplay on a variety of courses modeled after real-world venues. The Tiger Woods console games have, in recent years, included a popular customization mode that lets you create your own custom golfer, complete with varying facial features, clothing, and other options.

The upcoming PSP game will, like its console brethren, include an option to create your own golfer. You'll be able to develop skills for your character by earning enough cash to purchase upgrades while playing against the likes of Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, and Arnold Palmer, among others. The new game will feature 12 courses that have been featured in the 2004 and 2005 editions of Tiger Woods PGA Tour for the PC and consoles, including Sherwood Country Club, Pebble Beach, Harbor Town, and Paradise Cove. The PSP game will also feature a single-player "legend tour" mode that will let you compete against modern and past golf pros in challenge modes and tournaments. It will also feature support for wireless multiplayer over Wi-Fi in unspecified new game modes designed specifically for the PSP.
