E3 06: Sony's PlayStation 2, PSP E3 Lineup

Sony Computer Entertainment America announces first-party games to be shown next week in LA.

Sony has announced the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable games that it will show at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. While the big draw for the company will be the PlayStation 3, we'll have to wait until Monday's press conference for more details on Sony's next-gen offering. For the time being, the number of PSP games that will be shown at E3 outnumbers the PS2 offerings, with nine for the PSP and six for the PS2.

Most of Sony's PSP titles will land in the US in the autumn, with a couple of games to be released over the summer--Lemmings in May and World Tour Soccer '06 in June. Lemmings was released in the UK in March. The other titles on offer are ATV Offroad Fury Pro, Gangs of London, Killzone: Liberation, LocoRoco, NBA '07, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2.

On the PlayStation 2, the company is lining up ATV Offroad Fury 4, NBA '07, Rogue Galaxy, and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs for release in the US in autumn, and God of War II for 2007.

    YEAH!!! Thats right GOW2 is the only game i'm expecting to come out. But i would be even better if it was on ps3. xD

    psp is the best portable gameing device. esp. if they get the gps. I HATE it when people say that ds is better, the graphics suck, there is no function except games. It is a horrible value, psp gets movies,games (with 5x better graphix than DS) ,pix,music, internet, location free player(tv) and Rss capabilaties. PSP RAPES DS.

    I'm looking forward for God of War II the most.
    But I'm more interested in their PS3 lineup and if games like Killzone 2 and Motorstorm were shown in real time.
    I know they confirmed it but Sony isn't exactly a role model for truth.

    Sony's going to Blast E3 with the games they got, To bad we have to wait for the release dates, but once the wait is over, everythings worth it.

    Its going to be a good year for sony with the launch and all of the ps3 later this year and MGS: 4 Guns of the patriots.

    i'm telling you, sony has to come up big at E3... they need to let players be able to play the PS3 this year. they have a lot to reveal, like a possible new controller design, the issue with the blu-ray disc copyrights... maybe even hardware problems... if they can answer all of these and provide people with a working system, they will be very dominate.
