AU Shippin' Out August 11-15: Madden NFL 09

Madden brings the virtual 2009 football season down under.

It may not have as much significance down under as it does to our American cousins, but that hasn't stopped EA from bringing Madden NFL 09 to Australia. Updated player rosters aside, Madden NFL 09 now features a new holographic visual training mode, revamped franchise mode, and a new running engine. The Wii version also includes a new five-on-five game arcade mode and Wii Remote-specific play. Madden comes out on the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PSP this Thursday.

SingStar Amped comes onto the scene this week, this time featuring a variety of rock songs from artists like Grinspoon, Spiderbait, and Quiet Riot. SingStar Amped comes out on the 14th and will cost A$99.95 ($88.58) for the game and two microphones, or A$49.95 ($44.26) for just the game.

    take that hack Favre off the cover of Madden and put maybe John Madden on it, its the 20th anniversary for christ sake

    The ironic thing is SingStar will probably outsell the top selling Madden version.
