Star Ocean: Second Evo. Question

  • powered by GameFAQs

Why can I not combo link and steal moves from my reserve party any more?

In The PS1 game I had 4 sets of character partners specifically for couple endings and combo link combination s Claude/Rena, Dias/Celine, Ashton/Precis,Noel /Chisato but when I try doing the same thing in this game as soon as the character who's moves have been taken by LC are moved to the reserve party It undoes the combo I've set and I think that makes the Combo Link worthless now I could link 3 combos to one character in the old game but now it's never going to happen. Provoke/Taunt has also been removed. Those 2 things are the only gripes I have with this version of the game I wonder If other people have the same gripe problem as me with this new version of the game.

  • Well, the developers fixed that. they fixed alot of flaws that was in the original game.
  • If you are saying what I think you are saying, then your wrong, in the PS1 version the link combo would always undo itself after moving the person you stole KMs from to the reserves.
  • I would have to Agree with Areku. I loaded up the original just to check. You could never set of a link combo for KMs with your reserve members. You also couldn't set up more than one on the same character. However, you are still able to set up link combos with your spell casters (Celine, Rena, etc) without inhibiting their ability to cast spells. I personally felt that taunt was a bit worthless, so I really wasn't that sad to see it go.
  • You can only steal Special Arts when both characters are in the main party. You can steal Special Arts from mages but since they use Spells instead of Special Arts the mage won't lose their L / R button commands.
