World Poker Tour begins dealing this spring; game marks series' debut on Sony's handheld.

Gamers who placed their bets on a spring release for the PSP version of World Poker Tour have just increased their stacks. 2K Sports today officially announced that the game will be available in Q2 of 2006, following the October release of the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Game Boy Advance versions. The game will feature ad hoc wireless play, online play, and online compatibility with the PlayStation 2 versions. The PSP version also includes new artificial intelligence and PSP-exclusive unlockables.

the online/infrastructure play better include at least 6 players. i'm hoping for 10 player infrastructure, if socom can do 16-player, WPT should be able to do 10 player tables.

if its just 4 player infrastructure, that would suck big time.

I like to see different games for the PSP. This is a great idea to make casino games for older people. Thanks 2K.

Publishers are really doubling down on gambling games. I wonder how strong consumer demand really is for games of chance. . .
