AU Shippin' Out June 19-22: Pokemon, Tenchu, and SOCOM

Pokemon returns to the DS down under.

It's a big week for Poke-maniacs in Australia, with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl for the Nintendo DS finally getting a local release. Diamond and Pearl both feature online play, which allows gamers to battle and trade via Wi-Fi, as well as chat all things Pokemon using the Nintendo DS Wireless Headset. The Wireless Headset is being released alongside the games, which are hitting Aussie stores this Thursday.

If you're a karaoke fan, maybe you should check out SingStar Pop Hits. There are over 30 pop hits to choose from, including "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz, "I Don't Feel Like Dancing" by Scissor Sisters, "Beautiful Day" by U2 and much more. SingStar Pop Hits will be available as both a bundle with two microphones or as a single game.

The Xbox 360 Classics range is getting a boost this week with the addition of Dead Rising and WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007. Both the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable versions of WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007 are also going platinum--the PS2 version of the popular wrestling sim was the best-selling sports game in Australia for 2006.

The PSP Go!Cam camera add-on that allows users to take pictures and videos on their PSPs will be available in Australia on June 21. Go!Cam comes bundled with Go!Edit software, which allows users to directly edit their pictures and videos on the PSP.

I'm not saying it doesn't sell, I'm just saying that it hardly makes a chart credible to see it filled with Pokemon games. And lets face it, the last Aussie games chart was dreadful.

"Nintendo_Man: Atleast Pokemon will add some badly needed creditability to our charts"

    You are joking right?
You must be, Pokemon ADDING credibility to a chart... thats a good one.

Atleast Pokemon will add some badly needed creditability to our charts but unfortunately Singstar will end up being 3rd on the charts behind them.

Very likely that Pokemon Diamond/Pearl will take over the sales chart before the week is out.

Good thing that these are the best Pokemon games since Gold/Silver.

If you have a way to transfer them, the US and Japanese save files of Diamond/Pearl were interchangeable. Could be that way in Australian ones too?
