Majesco gears up for portable fighting

Developer Arc System Works' Guilty Gear series confirmed to arrive on DS, PSP in spring.

Fans of hair metal and fighting games who would like to not only combine their interests but do so in a form they can bring with them can mark their calendars: Majesco Entertainment has confirmed that its Guilty Gear series is going to arrive on the Nintendo DS and PSP this spring. The DS will get Guilty Gear Dust Strikers, complete with four-player fighting like that found in the PlayStation 2 game Guilty Gear Isuka, and a smattering of minigames that make use of the system's touch screen. On the PSP, Guilty Gear Judgment contains the new side-scrolling take on the series (after which the game gets its title) and a port of a more traditional installment in the series, Guilty Gear X2 #Reload. Guilty Gear Dust Strikers will retail for $29.99, while Guilty Gear Judgment will fetch $39.99.

what the heck is this game about anyway???? ive seen videos and it doesnt look to good. the game publishers need to make 3d/2d games instead of animated cartoons with 3d backgrounds (cough-dragonball z-cough)

I hope Dust Strikers for DS is better than Isuka because you had to tap R1 to turn around and that just sux.

"WOW the better ones gona be cheaper?"

AHAHAHAHA. Have you even played Isuka and compared it to #reload? I think you just heard 4-player and minigame then jumped into the bandwagon here, Isuka doesn't even feel like a proper fighter.

There are fighters for the DS, but the best of the lot is sadly import only. (Jump Superstars)

I'm looking forward to it I've been a fan of GG since the first one and rate it right there with Street Fighter, plus two different games is so cool. I hope they add online play for both the PSP and the DS version of the game.

Almost makes a PSP worth it. Almost.

I'll get one when it has a right analog nub (not that it affects GGX).

"have you seen the screenshots of the DS GG it looks terrible!! as for the PSP's version, it looks good but i'm really concerned about the"

I'm looking at image 7, and I see what You mean. Gamespot made the image WAAAY to big and thus enlarging every single pixle making it look like it was made for the atari 2600. Image 10 however looks great
