GRAW 2 invades Web

Web site for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 now live, includes wallpapers, videos, screens, intel; new dev diary talks about the game's environments.

Tom Clancy's fictional ghost squad has been deployed all over the world, "cleaning up the streets," so to speak. This week, the super soldiers went back to some familiar territory--the Web.

Ubisoft announced that the official Web site for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 went live this week, with the usual accoutrements. Visitors to the site can grab some GRAW 2-themed wallpapers for their PCs or screens of in-game footage, or check out some trailers of the game.

Also available is the latest Developer's Diary, which focuses on the environments in the game. In it, the developers talk about the differences in the game's two major locales--Juarez, Mexico, and El Paso, Texas--and the importance of keeping the environments as real as possible.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 is rated T for Teen and will be released in March on the Xbox 360 and PC. PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable versions are also in development. For more information, read GameSpot's previous coverage.

    LOL, GRAW1 wasn't first person, that was the PC version... which was cack.

    also,
    "Ubisoft has confirmed by way of their latest financial report that the PS3 version of the upcoming Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter sequel has been delayed. No reason for the delay has been given by the developer, and a new release date has not been announced at this time. The title is still expected to be released for the PS3 at some point."

    So did they seriously move from first person of GRAW to a 3rd-person view in GRAW 2?? Please tell me it's just an option or in certain circumstances or something.. I think it will be a huge step backwards if you have to play 3rd person only..

    I loved the first game but for crying out loud if it would have been good to see some different environments.

    This may be worth getting, it probably will but after this change is overdue. If GRAW 3 has any Sand present then you won't be getting my money a third time, and this second installment better be good to make up for the similaritys of the first one !

    I'm sure the PC and XBOX 360 version will be sweet. I hope they get the two PlayStation versions right too. GRAW on the go would be real nice.

    I've been a fan of Ghost Recon since the begining.

    I miss my PKM...other heavy weapons may have taken it's place but it's still my baby.
