Why did they bastardise Dragonball so much with this film?

One thing I found was despicable was the complete ruination of Goku's character - he cheats, he doesn't want to fight, he's in high school, he only wants to make out with Chi-Chi (which he does twice) and there are several other things.
I had an open mind for ages before this piece of drivel came out. Sadly though, there was just one bad thing too many. Every single update there was something that made me angry.
So yeah, Dragonball Evolution isn't just a bad Dragonball movie, it's a bad movie. The acting? Attrocious. The script? Lame. The effects? Awesome.....ly crap. The look? Dark gritty and realistic, something that dragonball was not. I really hope that we don't get a sequel. I don't want to see the franchise ruined even more.

This move is not so bad. Sure they did change a lot of things: Goku is never called a Saiyan (though I can't remember him being called one in Dragonball) the story behind Piccolo is way different, and Oozaru is not a giant ape instead he is the ape equivalent of a werewolf. But the main concept is there: find the dragonballs and save the world. The only things I would change is Master Roshi not being old, Goku not seeming as innocent, I would add Krillin, make Shenlong look more like the cartoon, and the final Kamehameha at the end when goku launches it at Piccolo then flys with it. But the reason you think this movie is going to be terrible is because your looking at it with a closed mind. I think Dragonball needed a change. It needed something new. Even the game is refreshing. I got tiered of people spaming awesome moves like Kamehameha and then the move does hardly any damage. In DBE you special moves are physical ,though they still use ki, and your ultimate is energy(for certain people). Like Goku.

has Kamehameha for his ultimate. It's really a refreshing turn. Although I would not make DBE a permanent way to go for the game series. As for the cartoon itself, they aren't making any mare episodes so I look foward to DBEZ
