    Its Square Enix because its Squaresoft and Enix together...it would be unfair to be Square Soft still. Anyway, loved this video. Game comes out on my birthday, so its like a b'day present from Square Enix!

    Sephiroth is so out of place... He's so tiny and not weird looking like the other villains... Yet he's probably the mos powerfull. He's awesome!

    I played the import to death, unlocked almost everything & lvl'd all the characters to 100. I should be sick of it but I'm still gonna buy the English version. its that good. one of the few examples of a game surpassing its hype.

    This look like a really good game! For those who don't have a PSP, like myself, I saw that Sony is making a Dissidia PSP for this. So you might want to keep that in mind

    They should make a game like this that includes characters from other Square games like Fei and Krelian from Xenogears and Aya and Eve/Melissa from Parasite Eve. It would be pretty awesome to see Aya go to her Liberate form (don't remember if that form actually has a name).

    (....Man, I hope The 3rd Birthday makes it to NA.)

    that's nothing new D-47, consoles used to be about exclusive content, one Microsoft realizes that and stops porting it's good games to PC i just might pick up an x-box

    I reserved this game and I keep playing the demo. You think there will be more than 20 characters? Add-ons maybe?

    Oh and people who complain about voice actors should just shut up about it, seriously would it kill you to not complain about something minor in a game. You will never be satisfied if that's the case. This isn't toward anyone.

    hope they eventually have some downloadable content or unlockable characters... it'd be interesting if when FFXIII and vs comes out they add characters from those games too... just to extend the life of it more, plus Lightening vs Squall would be interesting, battle of the gunblades.
    as for VA's the only one I didn't like hearing so far was Jecht... should have kept the same voice as in FFX.

    They ruined the voices. The English voice actors are completely awful compared to the Japanese ones, they had better give the option to switch.

    I'm really excited for Cecil, my favorite Final Fantasy protagonist! Also, will we ever see Cid in this game? He's the only character in every Final Fantasy game!

    for the 1st time i think the english version will be better than the jap version. i couldn't wait and got the jap version but if u played the game already you'll notice the differences one major difference is the arcade mode. in the jap version its a mode in which u can fight a range of characters from lvl 1 to 130 and for each character u beat u win coins that u can use to buy items. so as for me ima keep playing the jap version and play the enhlish when it comes out.

    Yeah, you're right, I didn't realize this. Well, it seems they decided to include only the protagonists (lead characters) and antagonists (main villains) from the main Final Fantasy series (that means excluding Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus and Final Fantasy X-2, as well as "spin-offs" like Crystal Chronicles or FF Tactics). One exception to this rule, it seems, is Vaan from Final Fantasy XII, so this probably means that the game was probably being worked on before FFXII released.

    Anyway, I'm hoping that in the next Dissidia, they'll include the whole cast from the main Final Fantasy series (e.g.: Tifa, Vincent, Rinoa, Aeris, Auron), as well as their sequels (e.g.: Zack... and, um, that's it, I think ), and maybe some select spin-offs.

    Awesome as always! Final Fantasy never disappointed!
    I can barely wait to play as Cloud and Squall (awesome battle in this vid, btw, I absolutely loved both of their fighting), two of the best Final Fantasy characters. Oh yeah, and Terra, too, she's one of the best female characters in any game I've ever played.

    Gahh, it makes me so angry it isn't being released for other systems! I don't have a psp! I don't even want a psp! But this game looks sick and I can't believe I will probably never ever play it. I hope they port it real quick. I don't care if it isn't as good looking as it could be, I just want it.


    @gelugon- chill my dude. You're right, it does look fun. So why not give our old friends at SquEnix the benefit of the doubt here? If they made a crappy, boring, ugly game which was marketed entirely on the backs of old beloved characters (and, hello, they've been trying. how many little FF games have been released for ds, psp, etc?) that would be one thing. But this is something new and kind of exciting. It seems righteous, so let's go with it until we have a good reason not to.

    More like milking the FF IPs for all they are worth - though they are worth a HECK lot. This game is likely going to be fun, but I can't help but have the impression that Square Enix is falling back on old IPs to generate some pocket money revenue.
