More Capcom Classics for PSP

Publisher compiles 15 more arcade games of years past in its second portable compilation; lineup includes Street Fighter II, Knights of the Round.

It was just last month that Capcom Classics Collection Remixed brought 20 of the publisher's arcade games of yore to the PlayStation Portable, and now quarter-jockey gamers on the go can look forward to over 15 more.

Capcom today announced that it will release a follow-up compilation to Remixed in Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded. Reloaded will include a number of hits conspicuous by their absence in Remixed, like Street Fighter II, Commando, and Ghouls 'n' Ghosts. But as with Remixed and the console editions of Capcom Classics Collection, there will be a selection of more obscure titles, such as the globally conscious side-scrolling shooter Eco Fighters, as well as the side-scrolling beat-'em-ups Knights of the Round and King of Dragons.

In addition to ad hoc wireless play, Reloaded will feature game-sharing capabilities so multiple PSP owners can play together off a single copy of the game. Capcom is promising that players can customize screen settings and controls to suit their tastes, and they will also be able to earn credits toward an in-game slot machine that doles out original art, secret codes, and gameplay tips.

Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded is set for release in North America in the fourth quarter of the year.

Mush: If you want to play it, buy a PSP. Seriously. It's like you bought a Gamecube and are complaining you can't play Halo or MGS3. Or, wait for the content to eventually appear on XBL Arcade.

I believe "nuff said" is the most inane, ridiculous statement in the English language.

This could have been a killer ap for the PSP if they had infrastructure mode for SFII.

"No offence, but Mortal Kombat sucked. The only thing Mortal Kombat did better was the movie"

Well 4 words for you, YOU HAVEN"T PLAYED THE GAME!

Think before you post. Buy a copy of Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play. OR, waste the holy hell out of your money by buying any MK arcade...

Not coming out until Q4? What's the hold up? It's not like Capcom needs a team of developers working around the clock to design the games. Hell, they don't even need a group to design the emulators. Either way I don't see myself buying it. Classic collections are great for a few days, but they're better left as rentals.

Sounds good. I always love portable games that only need one copy to play with friends.

Now, why isn't capcom porting the games from the first CCC Remix for the PSP over to the Xbox and PS2? Capcom is putting too much faith into the PSP, when compared to other consoles and handhelds SEPERATELY, they outsell the PSP.

Great more arcade classics , what amazes me are the fanboys trying to put down a game system , just because they got the other one, like the one who said that this game should have come out for the ds since it would sell more, jejeje , quit complaining , and go play some games, sheeeeesh. the two systems have their advantages and misses, and we all know that the gba and ds have a more stablished base than the psp, so what , you won , what are you trying to prove?, every time some news come along there has to be some one trying to take their frustrations on all of us , go get a new game.

I remember playing classic games such as these in the arcade. It seems that there are too many re-releases of old school games these days. Yes the classics from years past are an easy way to cash in. Sony and other publishers should focus on creating new games for the psp. There is a few great games on the psp, hopefully there will be more. Yep Old school is good but don't forget about making great new games in 2006 and beyond.
