The only exploit I saw here was in wasting my time by luring me in with a misleading title and feeding me advertisements.

i always have problems with battles in this game for example i will have 25 attack for my riflemen and i attack a pikemen with 18 defence.... i would always lose i can never win the only time i win battles is when i either over run them or when over power them by 50 or more but sometimes i will still lose even when i have more than 50 attack

"...but in no way is it less challenging."

Actually this is by far the least challenging Civ ever.
The only reason it's not considered garbage is because of how low strategy game standards are on consoles.

if you want to win with one city play a Beta Centaury scenario, focus early on on buildings that increase production and then switch to money making buildings. When you have all these lined up, focus on money making and use the production points to buff up some defense. You should win an economic victory in 15-20 minutes on deity with no problems.

Um... where was the exploit? Really though, if you want to win with one city the key is making sure you can block off a bit of the map so everyone else can't colonize it. The rest explained here really is just how you are suppose to play the game.

Not exactly rocket science there, is it? And not an exploit. Depending on your starting civ and plain luck with resources, any of the four wins are possible. For an very easy win, go with civs with extra great people, and always settle them in your cities, UNLESS it's great builders, in which case you should use them to complete wonders. 20 wonders, great people and converted cities can quickly be achieved if you focus on defense (one or two defensive armies in every city) and only use offensive units to attack enemy armies when they arrive at your cities.

In all but deity difficulty you shouldn't have any trouble getting all of the lost wonders.

You can win this by just getting lots of culture and converting other cities, you just can BUILD more then 1 city. Gamespot should have investigated this a bit more before posting this overly complicated stratagie.
