    ok this was the first reason i wanted to buy a ps3 before we learn it's release date...but now as I see it I don't think it's the time for the remake because it's something very difficult now that the team of the classic ff7 is broken...but I heard from a lot of people that ff7 remake will be one of the first games for ps4...who knows...the only thing i can say is that i want this game to be remade like crazy...and the reason is simple:i can't yet imagine playing ff7 with all it's cut-scenes,videos,battles,the world map,etc with the graphics like these of the tech demo because it's too...i can't find the word...but you understand right?I believe there are a lot of people like me out there...

    Oh and FYI the PSN version of FF7 has no new features or anything...It's just a PSX game thats can be used on PS3/PSP...nothing more...don't get too excited...

    I just played through Crisis Core and the end showed a slightly different version of the tech demo. Cloud introduced himself as "Soldier 1st class" in a narrator style entrance then you see him on the train...

    Then "To be continued in Final Fantasy VII" appeared.

    However, it's safe to say this is a dream that'll never come true FFVII will not receive a remake anytime soon.
    Pity really it's one of the best (FF7/8/9 were of the highest quality compared to the PS2 ones I miss the damn WORLD MAP)

    they would be pretty dumb if they didn't remake the game. considering companies are about making money, they know every PS3 owner would buy this game. = $$$

    I cant wait for FF13... I searched online and on of the sites..it said FF13 will be made for PS3 first...since they are currently working on putting it on blu ray. The 360 version will not have more features or anything. They will the make FF13 to fit the features of the 360. However, on the ps3 they will make the game so it maximizes the system... If that is so.. then WOOt WOOt !!!!

    They showed us this demo, and weve seen that they can make it happen, what every gamer is hoping now, is that after FF13 FF13versus and KH3, that we'll get our remake, but will the gaming gods heed our cries, not likely, but we'll cry till we die if we have to D=
    Truth is, that if anything, its probably a powerful idea thats still in limbo, think of how much time and care it would take to create a remake of such a facinating game, it would take all their resources, than after that, they wouldnt hear the end of it from FF6 and FF8 fans, so it would have to be made in a time when they had little to nothing on their plate, which you can plainly see is rare with SE. Just hope for the game in the future i guess.
    Personaly, myself, i just want the fu**in game to be finished =/ lol, would be great if after all this they just sat down, loaded it up, fixed some glitches, finished off the story, filled in all the holes they left, maybe throw in some new content, tuned the graphics, and just re-released it. I dont even need a total remake, and i'm sure either way it would sell millions if it had an actual ending, or was extended in all its old school 3d glory to include maybe a FF7AC ending. But a full remake.. would rock the world, so just keep your fingers crossed like the rest of us, better yet.. glue them.

    There is not going to be a remake of this game, sadly. They just made this video to show the power of the ps3. If they were working on a remake don't you think there would've been more news on it by now, it's been 4 years already. I'm just pissed that they would tease us with something like this and leave us hanging. THEY BETTER MAKE A REMAKE.

    Seriously, they had to know that this video was going to get the Final Fantasy fans absolutely hardcore about a remake... why in goodness name would they make this video if they were never going to give it to us? They could've easily just made some random video of the PS3's power.

    I think I'm going to get a ps3 for just this game... IF it's as good as the ps1 version that is. I think I've finished that one ten times now or something, I'm sure I've hit the 300 hours of playing at that one now. I got it in 2000 and I'm STILL playing it.

    I, like few people, own both systems therefore can actually comment on which is better unlike you fanboys who can only afford 1 console and therefore you must criticize the other side all day in an effort to feel good about yourself.

Everyone can have a preference but rabidly defending money grabbing corporations (Microsoft and Sony in this case) seems a little pathetic to me, is there nothing more in peoples lifes worth defending than a corporation?

    XBOX 360 IS FOR LOSERS!! ps3, is, THE gaming system. Matt2kvx, you are a loser. you know, there are many games that ps3 has that the shetbox 360 doesnt, theres tekken, kingdom hearts, jak 1,2,3 etc, so who gives a **** if ur little Tales of Vesperia isnt on ps3 because ps3 has its own, MANY advantages, oh and also free online connection using ur own internet.     i remember the first time i saw this video was after i've beaten the final fantasy crisis core piece, it shows up right after the credits roll... i got so excited, too bad its gonna take many years before they release a remake of ff7

    I hope they will eventually make a remake of 7, 8 and 9, but what i hope more is that they bring out all final fantasy parts up to 12 in the playstation store. And i hope 13 will be the only version that comes out on the microsux Xbox...

    I hope they release this for the Psp and Ps3 if they aren't going to release this to 360. I only have a Psp, that is the only Playstation platform I own. So hopefully it will come out for the 360 but if not I hope for the Psp. I am not a 360 fanboy btw I would like a Ps3 but I do not have the money.

    Wow after how successful the franchise has been, and how well taken crisis core and advent children was (minus Dirge of Cerberus) they could have so much success re-releasing this game. It could be the SAME exact game as the ps1 version and i'd still play it with a massive graphical facelift

    At the very least, they should re-release the (original) PlayStation version through the PlayStation Store, for playback on the PSP (PlayStation Portable) and PlayStation 3...

    I can understand why they may not want to re-make this game (it's still not fair though!), so instead they could just offer the original version of this game through the PlayStation Store - as was promised nearly two years ago by Sony!

    Whilst I DO plan to buy a Sony PlayStation 3 eventually, I tell you now with ABSOLUTE certainty - if there was a PlayStation 3-specific version of Final Fantasy VII, I would be at local video game store with my credit card in hand at 9:00AM tomorrow!

    Seriously, they should definately think about this - it's a great game for us, and a "cash-cow" for them... A win-win situation.

    I think Square shouldn't remake FFVII. Square should just concentrate on making new franchises and expanding those franchises (TWEWY, Last Remant,etc.)

    Cause if i'd want to play FFVII i would just play it on my PC, which i am doing lol

    well i heard a while back that there are thinking about making it but they want the lead guy from the classic 7 to work on it but hes making ff 13 so if they did there waiting on that.. but i really hope they remake i still play this game

    just a quick point about zombey1333's comment, who clearly knows nothing about making games, the team that made final fantasy 7 originally won't even be all working at square at the minute, and those that are may be working on other projects. So imagine you've just started working there and you get the task of remaking the game that made you want to be a game designer in the first place FINAL FANTASY 7!! So you wouldn't get bored it would be the greatest job ever!

    This looks awesome by the way I hope they remake it, I love the look of it too, looks real but still has an awesome manga feel to it. Please remake this game, no zombey1333 we won't all get bored of playing it again, it's one of those games you can play a million times and never get bored that's why it's so good. Giving it new graphics and releasing it for a modern console would only give it the new life it deserves and help pass the torch to a new generation of gamers who will be just as inspired by it as us. So yeah XBOX 260 release please....

    9 was alot lighter and more upbeat. 9's characters looked like gnomes. I can see how some people would like it better than 7. I prefered 7 due to its serious and intriguing story and mature characters. I also injoyed the materia system.

    i have been a loyal playstation fan since ps1 but ps3 better step it up and live up to its promises. FF13 is now going to 360 just like Assassin's Creed, Grand Theft Auto and Resident Evil did. The only reason to even own a ps3 is for MGS4 (might be comming to 360 soon) and Socom (if ur into socom) but rpg-wise, there is vurtually nothing of interest. PS doesnt even have Tales of Vesperia. All the good PS3 games are for 360 too but the good 360 games are exclusive to 360. STEP IT UP SONY!!!!!!!!

    i hope too that it cames for the 360, i think that that could be the best decision of Squeare, because everybody knows that the 360 has a biggest market than the ps3, but we see the wii, the best selled with the worst games (i have one too)(thanks ubisuck) anyways, i should buy a ps3 only for Final Fantasy VII
