    50-50 on this one, the final fantasy online on xbox 360 was terrible and took forever to get into , so much infact i stopped playing it.

    I really hope they pull out all the stops on this 1 as i do love the franchise.

    Am I the only one who thinks this trailer is garbage and was probably scripted by a 12 year old? I can't possibly begin explaining how stupid the battleship design is. A flying column with wings? seriously, Square? I don't know.. but this game smells of badness right from the trailer.

    FF XI wasn't bad, but I think FF's should stick as just non online video games, like all the gr8 ones were

    Ummm I'm guessing that the sales of Final fantasy 13 will define the results of this game....i guess i understand why they are making a mmo game but i keep hoping that they will make an ff7 remake : ((

    "A source" from the Square Enix booth at E3 stated that they would be using a Free to Play model for both PS3 and PC versions. Also, the game is slated to be release exclusively on the PS3 in terms of consoles in 2010.

    HI Maxaxelpro, basically its just a pipe dream of mine, of of my favourate online games on my favourate console, i suppose if they were planning on converting wow go console *Fingeres Crossed* they could bump up the funds by selling as a game pack kinda like Rock Bank, add a mic and keyboard, especialy a keyboard, they way they wont have to convery controls to joypad, which probably wouldnt work anyway, not enough buttons and would probably be complex controls i think.
    There should be more mmo's on console though in my own oppinion, PS3 RPGs like Dragon Age and Oblivion come close but not close enough, maybee its because PS3 server load or something, no idea just blowing bubbles here....Rant over, happy gaming everyone, dont forget sometimes dreams do come true

    @Thomasskins u were talking about wow on ps3, I can't imagine controls of wow on console. They would have to change gameplay of game, and u sad there would be lot of gamers playing it maybe so, but so far there arent any that successful mmo games on console. + by releasing wow on console it would cost a lot of money and time 2 develop it all over just for consoles

    Dragon Age si also a brilliant game out its RPG with MMO elements, kinda like Guild Wars (4 heanch men as heroes/team mates) but amazing gameplay, graphics, voice overs and well over 200 hours of game play, my No. 1 tip for x-mas .

    You can called DC Universe online, brilliant game if your into super heroes and villians.
    I wish they would transfer or remake wow especiallly with wrath of the lick kind and burning crusade added to the PS3, think of the extra millions maybee billions they can make buy doing this with well over 1 million wow gamers and not everyone owns a PC after all...My opinions only!

    @IXIWhistIXI I never said it was. I was just comparing the two about how they are both similar compared to MMORPGs. WOW was the only MMORPG that I could think of atm. Of course it would look like FFXI because it is.

    at the moment i only play WOW as for MMO's go but if Square comes out with a game, i gotta play it. I cant wait to play a MMO on my PS3.

    How does this look like square enix's version of wow?

    This looks exactly like FFXI except with some weird vertical flying ships.
    Just because something is a mmorpg doesn't mean it's wow.

    In any event, I don't get why they're making a new online game set in what appears to be relatively the same universe as the last one, with character design that looks exactly the same as the last one and even includes the same ship battles as before on ships that look exactly the same as the last one...

    THey should have really changed the fantasy theme...

    Cant really tell much. Theres not gameplay in that video its all cinematics. Sometimes a a games cinematics are better that the game itself....So Im gonna wait for a game play video to come out before I judge.

    I've played bits and pieces of several MMO's over the past decade and I would have to say FFXI was by far my best/favorite online experience. It was all about the great community - secondly, just happened to be a good game too.
    So very excited about a sequel to complement the experience.

    awesome, final fantasy 11 online is fun, i have it for xbox 360 and this one is a sequel to it i need to re get a playstation 3 so i can check it when it comes out, because the release date is tba 2010 and it's kinda almost 2010!

    Unlike FFXI, I'm actually going to purchase this online FF! It looks amazing and the music (composed by the best, Nobuo Uematsu) is sheer genius and fits Final Fantasy's scenery and environment perfectly. I have high expectations for this title, and I just know the results are going to go beyond them ^^

    wow player here too, I have high hopes for ff, wows gettin old but the gameplays so good i keep going back for more...
    from the look of the trailer this new mmorpg looks class but will it play as well....god i hope so!

    I dont understand why SE is working on so many projects at once, doesnt make sense... Just put all your developers on one project to make it as perfect as possible and work on the next one. :-?
