E3 06: Full Auto reloaded for PS3 sequel

Sega's sequel to the vehicular combat game will be exclusive to Sony's upcoming next-gen console.

It's barely been two months since Full Auto arrived on the Xbox 360, but Sega has already announced a sequel to the vehicular combat game. Full Auto 2: Battlelines is currently under development, and although Sega hasn't said when the title will be ready for release, gamers with a lead foot and an itchy trigger finger should know that they'll need a new console to play it. Battlelines is being developed exclusively for the PlayStation 3.

Full Auto developer Pseudo Interactive is again handling the duties for the sequel, which promises a number of new features, including fully destructible environments that allow players to blow up parts of the track to strategically block (or crush) other cars or open up new paths through the levels. In addition, Pseudo Interactive is including a new arena mode with team-based multiplayer action, 25 customizable vehicles, and more than 20 different tracks. The single-player game has also been revamped with a new campaign mode featuring multiple paths to victory.

Sega will be showcasing more of Full Auto 2: Battlelines at the Electronic Entertainment Expo next week. Check back with GameSpot soon for more coverage.

    I liked Full Auto a lot and would definitely buy a sequel on 360

    That sucks, i really liked Full Auto for my Xbox 360. This just another thing Sony has to steal from Microsoft. I hope there are at least updates for the 360 version so I can have a customized car.

    I honestly don't think it was the platform that made this game a dude, but the gameplay.

    smidsy u talk bout xbox never keepin there exclusives well then wat happened to final fantasy and GTA those were both sony exclusives and they both somehow ened up on the xbox amazin how sony just gives away there games like that huh

    I agree with Scalper, I'd much rather see Twisted Metal, but, if Sega wants to bring a sequel to PS3, by all means, bring it, as I'm sure some people wanted it.

    LOL..Sony you can have it,

    To the Sony fanboys..The game flopped because of the developers..Not hardware I bet MS said “Sega..Take a hike with your sequel. You make our system look bad” Flop on the 360 and it will flop again on the PS3

    "yah ide say it would b a rehash also, but a better version, because tha ps3 is capable of doing way more than tha xbox 360, so they are adding all tha extra stuff they couldnt fit or put n tha xbox version......sounds more reasonable to me"-Furbyballistik

    I heard sega said this will Truly be next gen on PS3, meaning it wasnt next gen to begin with on xbox360, there for that is why it sucked in the first place.

    Damn i've never been so tired of these playstation fanboyz...
    All they talk about is how ps3 is better in every way but only on paper on a spec sheet. Ps3 is gonna be good but u knoe what i wanna see amazing games im tired of devil may cry, tekken, god of war, gran turismo, final fantasy these games dont appeal to me they good but not that good the only game that they are doin it with is METAL GEAR... now i bought a ps1 and a ps2 because of the dvd player no lie my first game was metal gear solid 2 it was sick i loved it i loved devil may cry 1 not the sequals the original onimusha was alright but i mean theres not too many other games i loved... Then when i touched an xbox my perception changed wheter it was co-op on halos story mode or playin counterstrike online and of couse halo 2 but i mean xbox simply has better games that are PC QUALITY... FarCry, Doom 3, Half Life 2, just to name a few then u go to House of the Dead or maybe Conker live and reloaded. XBOX is amazing so is playstation but when it comes to game xbox does have better games watch juss wait for F.E.A.R. on xbox 360, or PREY, HUXLEY, GEARS OF WAR, HALO:FORERUNNER, TOO HUMAN, MASSEFFECT, ALAN WAKE, SAINTS ROW, CELLFACTOR, MAYBE CRYSIS but i mean these games have etreme potential of PC QUALITY and only xbox delivers it into the box ... PS3 is gon be sick dont get me wrong metal gear solid 4 looks solid but as far as killzone 2 or like gran turismo im not interested im not hating theres good games but they try too hard GT4 was delayed so long and not even online DAMN... GT5 is gon be sick but if i need to get my drivers licence again im gon be pissed if i want to go to driving school ill get my drivers licence i know its the real driving simulator but i mean it eliminates the fun knawmean... Nintendo Wii is gon be different but i dont think red steel will steal the show that is E3... All microsoft needs is a 2 minute video or even one screenshot for halo 3 and thats it cause they are a software company they make software where as SONY is a hardware company ..it seems like SONY is more interested in winning the BLU-RAY vs HD-DVD war rather than PS3 vs XBOX 360 honestly if i buy a ps3 its gon have to have more than metal gear solid to play in their world cause form goin PS2 to XBOX LIVE back to playstation is gon need to do more than bring me BLU-RAY movies... I dont own HDTV so blu ray is gon need to lower sum prices sony want people to buy ps3 cause they have a new format wow more storage to store behind the scenes footage of making of ape escape LOL... neways sony is winning but i mean they investing 800 million just to win both with blu-ray and playstation 3 xbox 360 is gettin bigger everyday and i mean sony is a huge hardware name thats mostly why people buy ps2 and its so popular its not better no custom soundtracks, 8mb memory cards, multitap, crappy hardware i mean xbox has glitches not myne but whatever PSP sux its playstation portable they make the same games nothign new id rather get DS its different and fun on the road not psp with one analog stick and the square button that gets stuck cause its built too close to the screen .... overall NEXX-GEN is gon be a fight till 2015 but XBOX LIVE will chaange games for the better hey guys wanna play PLAYSTATION NETWORK PLAYFORM? maybe its free cause it sucks wanna play Wii? who knows i migjht get all systems all im sayin is that xbox is gon have so many updates and downloads thru marketplace that its gonna be ridiculous and oh yeh ps3 using LINUX? LOL linux is so **** so **** im not hating but its tru linux OS is not user friendly... GO 360 DEAL WIT SONY hey guys wanna watch a bluray disc movie? or do u wanna watch a HD-DVD movie what sounds better not so much that cause wii sounds ridiculous but i mean stop hatin on 360 im tired of it sony has more game but not quality games remember ps1 every week there was a game cause they rused it QUALITY not QUANTITY ... E3 IS COMIN WATCH OUT i knoe i will on XBOX LIVE E3 COVERAGE THANKS TO MICROSOFT the SOFTWARE company...
