On 1/27/09, Konami added a new, free mode to Metal Gear Online called Bomb Mission. In this mode, the offensive team attempts to detonate a bomb at a targeted location, while the defending team must protect its stronghold and prevent bombs from exploding.

    It has almost everything from 3, but it makes it a lot easier to get out of fire fights if you get caught.

    i've never played another game with so much replayability. I've finished it at least 4 times and haven't uncovered all of it.

    I find it amusing when he speaks that MGS4 graphics are the best ever....
    ...he certainly never played PC games such as Crysis,a 2007 game that visualy humbles this one.

    I've been gaming for some 30 years now, and I rarely ever play through a game more than once. However, with regards to MGS4, I'm on my fourth playthrough and may even go for a fifth. This entire series may be the best I'll ever see in my lifetime. If you've yet to play this game, please give it a shot. I promise you won't regret it.

    I finished this game for the first time last night, brilliant. Why does Hal have to cry all the time though, is there some symbolic reference that justifies his near constant waterworks in Guns of the Patriots and Sons of Liberty or is he just a big blouse?

    i would say all 4 is good but with mgs1 u can imagine playing a ps1 game with outdated controls, graphics, etc

    This helps firm up my decision to finally get a PS3. I see this game everywhere for $25 CDN, too (used, of course). Would people say MGS3 is as good as the others, including 4?

    The graphics on this game are mind-blowing. It's just sick how far we've come in the past 10 years.

    troydtroy, wtf!!!!!! this game has amazing graphics you stupid 360 fanboy!!!!! nearly all reviewers gave this game a 10/10 in the graphics department, and this game destroys any game on the 360 graphically, so go look at gears of war or something

    borrowed a ps3 for this one, didnt work for 2 day and finished it over the weekend.... indeed the a candidate for one of the best videgames of all time. you wouldn't know if you're playing or watching.... IMO best of last year and of all time

    this game is awesome alot of cinematic scenes but im surprised how they hold this huge game on 1 disc unlike that halo odst game that came with 2 separate disc on my 360 how pathetic, definitely might sell my xbox360 hahahaha

    I rly don't get why this game has a freaking 10
    i got bored after act 1 . Way to much story telling (some scenes last 30 min ). What sup whit that , if i want to play a story game whit long and boring story's ill play a bioware game I played mgs 1 like 10 times in the old days, but i dident feel like going further past act 1 , to much dramatics its rly phatethic + snake is old

    Great review. I've played this game 7 times already. It's so amazing and has superb graphics and gameplay. Every PS3 owner should play this game.

    This is simply the BEST GAME EVER!!! No games can beat it!!! It will take like another decade for a game to beat it lol!!! This masterpiece showed the world why ps3 is better. ps3 is the only system that can support a game with such high definition. But Xbox360 is awesome too , ps3 is just better so dont call me a fanboy. (I just dont like the wii)

    Well, this probably could fit onto two DVDs if the sound were compressed, but that would compromise the quality of one of the best designed soundscapes ever made for a video game.

    Honestly, though, video games just don't get much better than this game.

    It really doesn't look like it gets much better than theis. Looking forward to this when I get my hands on a PS3 soon.
