the PS3 Pads are Wireless because Sony don't object, Xbox360 is not Due to Microsoft Wireless rights.they License the Wired.

Also I love the SF4 PS3 Face Plat and more the SF4PS3 Controller Skinz.

OMG to be honest, people are getting ripped off.... there is no freakin difference between the tournament and Arcade Stick. REALLY STUPID JUST USE A FREAKIN CONTROLLER! DAM

    Posted Jan 18, 2009 3:43 pm PT

i would get a stick but i'm not that used to them. arcades began to die when i started getting into it. plus i don't have that much money. i'm definitely getting a pad though!

I'm a bit skeptical of those pads, nothing can match the godly Saturn controller, I have to try it out. Those sticks make my wallet cry

what's the difference btw the arcade stick and the tournament stick?

I'm not joystick player, because my thumb is more quick and precise than my fist, I do kick ass with the controller, but I'm honestly thinking about giving another go to those sticks.

Sega Saturn had the best D-pad!!! The ones in this video look similar. I never hung out at arcades, so I dislike sticks.

I think, they sell them with game. (except small one which is like 360 Gamepad. In my opinion that is useless)

  • EpsilonChi

    Posted Jan 14, 2009 6:50 am PT

They should sell the empty shell, with the interface board, since you can supposedly swap out the buttons and joystick. Eh, i'll still build my own.

Pad > Stick, i never really got into stick for SF2 onward, pad all the way.

I wish they had them with the Happs Ultimate joysticks and push buttons. I've never played a Street Fighter machine with ball topped joysticks or convex buttons.

I am interested in the Pad if it is anywhere near as good as the Sega Saturn pads. (The pad being wired is definitely a downer though) Although I am sure that they are great, I'm not hardcore enough anymore to get a joystick (I got one when SF2 turbo came out for the SNES)

I've owned a saulaubi myself before. The whole stick is good but its not as heavy as other sticks so it can move, but that's not my main problem. I've played some two other types of korean sticks and prefer them over the saulabi stock stick. I can pull off moves fine on anyway of them, but less consistent with the saulabi. I have heard that the stock stick they put in the saulabi is sometimes good, sometimes bad.

  • YourNameHere004

    Posted Jan 11, 2009 3:16 am PT

@storm82: really? you think so? i can pull off shoryukens and 360 piledrivers all day with that stick. i'll admit that the buttons arent spectacular and i've heard problems with them, but i think that may come from the physically aggressive players. in any case, although i enjoy the stick personally, and to each his own, i was always a dual shock person....even though its turns my thumbs into hamburger meat. ITS THE ADDICTION!!

yea I just noticed that he didn't ask if there were made for the pc.

  • Storm82

    Posted Jan 10, 2009 6:38 pm PT

korean sticks are good, but the saulabi stick is terrible.

  • YourNameHere004

    Posted Jan 10, 2009 6:09 pm PT

meh....personally i like the saulabi stick. http://www.isaulabi.com/saulabi_ps3.html not really a fan or the lollipop sticks....plus its actually cheaper than most sticks and is great quality....nice and heavy. they dont make it for 360, but it works for PC and ps3. its $50 on play-asia, but if youre in korea (like me) its even cheaper. the saturn pads are pretty cool, but i like sony's d-pad for fighters.

I hate Mad Catz. They make the biggest PoS-es ever. Out of the 3+ controller's I've gotten from them, only one is still working. Moral of the story: Always, always, always, ALWAYS buy 1st party.

  • blowtrees

    Posted Jan 10, 2009 3:53 pm PT

Personally I've never thought much of MCatz controllers. They've always been rather cheapish functionally imo. These look like they use the same poor D-paD as always. This is a shameless plug it seems. DiD the interviewer mispronounce Ryu? The Sega paD style bothers me as well, SNES SF2 was always better, even MVC2 on Dreamcast was superior. Nothing wrong with triggers either, contemporary controllers are very Dynamic, form follows function after all. Can't wait for SF4, Don't care for these. That saiD, the special eDition arcaDe stick has quite a bit going for it, maybe the only one of these proDucts that is worth using, although 'special eDition' means premium pricing. (sorry my D key is broken, haD to use character map)

They are now bound to the future of SF4. Hope for them that it won't be a flop.
