    if you want to know how to get to he other part in level 1 you have to talk to a old man near the store you do his challenge and the when you finish it you go to the store and then buy the light chip after that you go to the place with the rings lined up then you press SQUARE then on x box you press X. If you are trying to pass the level where sonic first says i have to save princess elise you first complete the sonic part then when you go to the tails part you go back then right and then you attack the enemy ect and if you are trying to open the gate you see a little clif fly on it then you turn now you see a big clif fly onto that you destroy all the stuff there the you see a little sphere with a star on it and then you push it then the gate closes. (instruction for ps3) HOPE IT WORKS have a good day your welcome.
