    OMG if I hear one more person compare this to God Of War or DMC I am going to flip. CastleVania has been around for a long time and he had a chain whip long befor Kratos ever had his little chain swords that he uses. Plus this Castlevania is supposed to be openworld exploration something GOW is not or DMC for that matter. I don't understand peoples infatuation with comparing every action or action adventure game to GOW if the combat looks cool. GOW copied DMC to an extent except its not as deep. I cannot wait for this new version of Castlevania looks awesome def going to pick it up.

    Oh,I'm praying to all dark forces for Konami/Mercury Steam to not spoil the final result and simply make God of War clone. Don't try to reinvent the wheel,please- the skeleton is perfect,just put some new flesh on it

    PS. Even basic idea is verrrrrrrry similar God/Lords of War/Shadow...Keep it that way and Western market will be wide open for you!

    ok I've never played a castlevania before, but I would really like to make this my first. Looks like a great game. And Patrick Stewart that seals it good game.

    Yeah... it's a bit GoW mixed with DMC. But put all that gameplay into Castlevania and you'll have a hell of a game. I only hope is not that lineal as it looks. Symphony of the night was innmersive since you maybe had to cross all over the castle to find an item that allowed to open a secret door in the first room, it had many secrets areas, secret weapons and a good repertory of items/weapons/armor too... I hope they don't let those things out. Xbox 360 NEEDS a good dungeon Crawler!

    2010 is going to be a crazy year for gaming. God of War 3, FF13, Dantes Inferno, Bioshock 2, (just to name a few) and now this.. cant freggin wait.

    The previous 3D Castlevania games have not been good, but it looks like they're going all out for this one. I'm psyched for this one, looks massive. They even got Captain Picard to narrate, haha thats sweet.

    This is the perfect kinda game for me
    Looks like itll have a pretty good story line I like the graphics so far
    And i get to run round and kill big things
    Perfection
    I love slash and hack games

    I look forward to seeing an updated Leon if he's there, if not still cool. I enjoyed C:Lament of Innocence so I hope they did justice to this one as well. Waiting patiently.

    did kojima go so far as to add plot-depth to castlevania? i'm stoked about this, and this trailer really shows strides the industry can take to push the envelope to make a game more than flash and pomp. sweet voice acting, story intrigue, and still super-bad-A looking in every way.

    can't wait.

    I see elements of Rygar, God of War, Shadow of the Colossus in there. Blended together along with the Castlevania setting (which is one of my favorites ever) it could make for one hell of a classic.

    I love hack 'n slash games. Unfortunately the only AAA titles IMO are Ninja Gaiden Sigma and God of War. Hopefully this game and Dantes Inferno will change that.

    Wow...Epic Trailer...I actually didn't care too much for the series afta "Simon's Quest"...Glad to see it's gettin' it's much needed and deserved makeover, nice!

    WOW awsome it's sad that koji igarashi no longer is involve with castlevania but it's seens that we will see the last of his work with this game like 2 games in one . I think the name of the hiden game where alucards returns is balad of souls.

    OHHHYEA!!! The Fiscal Year of the hack-n-slash button-mashers!!! God War 3, Dante's Inferno, and now this!!! Each one looks amazing....we'll just have to wait and see which one comes out on TOP!!!

    I'm very pleased to see they are finally steering this franchise back towards its roots, especially in the artstyle department. The anime style character design just sucked ever since it came into the picture........at least where the 3D Castlevanias are concerned. I've been saying for the longest time that this franchise needed to go the God of War route.........solid combat engine with great creature designs. I'm glad someone finally figured that out. I guess the pathetic sales of Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness finally convinced the right people. But truthfully, I'm just happy to see this next installment is OUT of the hands of Igarashi. The man needs to stick to his forever recloned Symphony of the Night 2D series, and leave the 3D games to people who know what Castlevania SHOULD be when done in the third dimension.

    I am actually looking forward to this. I think that it may not be shying away from the most important element of Castlevania, which is fun, exciting gameplay. And I believe that this may be a bit more integral to the story of the fight against Dracula than one might originally think.

    Being a long long time Castlevania fanatic as much as I am intrigued by the trailer...I actually do not like the direction the game is going I am all for new ideas..but from what I've read about the story from various sites and Hideo himself claiming it to be a "reimagining" I am worried that long time Franchise Favorites like Dracula, Alucard, and the Belmont family will be thrown to the wayside...and if that's the case...then this isn't Castlevania it's just a game taking the castlevania title to make money.
