    lol philiptpb "keeps up" how cute. They haven't even begun to utilize the PS3's power, when games start coming out with the level of graphics that 360 games use in their cutscenes maybe you will realize im not a "fanboy" I simply know the facts. Msoft is already working on a new Xbox to combat the ps3, because Sony isn't going to have to make a new Playstaion for 10 years.

    Different style of graphics? By different style, do you perhaps mean better? Or do you just mean different style in that Gears2 doesn't have anywhere near the level of detail.

    I love you xbox guys, every time someone brings up how much more powerful the ps3 is, they're instantly a "fanboy" gj combating your ignorance with name-calling

    Killzone 2 and gears of war both have different styles of graphics so please dont try comparing them. If u are a ps3 fanboy then its ur problem, to be honest, both 360 and ps3 are good. Dont forget, the 360 still keeps up and it came out 2 and a half years earlier

    ninboxstation, if you think GoW2 even COMPARES to this game as far as graphics go, you have no idea what you're talking about man. I hate to sound rude, but that's the only way you could think that. Graphics aren't just about how pretty things look, it's about the AMOUNT of pretty things going on all at once, and the level of detail in those pretty things.
    I can absolutely guarantee that based on what I saw from that video, the 360 would not be able to handle this game unless they DRASTICALLY dumbed down the graphics. The amount of sh*t going on all around you, the explosions, the fire, the smoke(smoke is one of the most demanding things to render), Gears of War 2 doesn't even come CLOSE to that video. Not once while playing through GoW2 did I see anywhere NEAR that much sh*t going on around me, let alone with such detail.
    If you don't believe me, ask yourself why it was built around the PS3, and why it hasn't been released on the 360 yet.
    Before you continue to question which system is more powerful, look up a schematics comparison of the PS3 and the 360, to sum it up, the 360 is 10x as powerful as the PS2, and the PS3 is 30x as powerful as the PS2, so basically the PS3 is literally 3x as powerful as the 360. The only fighting chance the 360 has on the PS3 is that the 360's graphics card has slightly better anti-aliasing capabilities, that is it.
    I'm not attacking you, or your opinion, your opinion is your own, I'm simply informing you that technically speaking, as far as which game is more graphically demanding, Killzone 2 is by FAR superior.

    the lighting effects look great, so do the architecture komplexity of the backrounds, and the animations......but it's difficulte to say it looks better than GOW2, it has other advantages in the grafix....

    never seen better graphics, gameplay looks awsome, physics could be better but with the multiplayer you get a great pakage for your money so this will be definitly be added to my shelf

    Why am I not impressed? Is it me or are there more than enough FPS games out there? I think we are being oversaturated by FPS games. This one is a pretty one mind you.

    ii thot killzone 1 was a fantastic game and the graphics were well ahead of anything out then
    killzone 2 just looks mind-blowing ii just can't wait for it to be released on ps3
    this is one ii would camp outside the store to buy lol

    Oh and this game looks beautiful...and how does this at all have the atmosphere of Halo? if anything I would say it is more similar to Gears being dark and such... And what's the word with destructible environments? In the video the player threw a grenade that took chunks out of pillars, will this effect cover?

    This is basiclly a cheap remix of Halo, Gears of War 2, And Call of Duty 4. But instead they replaced aliens with gasmask peoples and weapons from COD and a atmosphere of Halo. Sony can do way better than that. And I can feel a hint of Bioshock Daddy's in the game. Still Sony did a pretty good job capturing the Killzone atmosphere... Kind of

    this is pretty much PS3's gears of war.
    graphically, tone of the game, big enemies, etc.
    sony played it smart though - it tailored to the strengths of the PS3 in the graphics department...the contrast between lights and darks.
    I find PS3 usually, although not always (if u look at gamespots most recent graphics comparison article) has a bit stronger contrast. not necessarily darker darks, but not necessarily lighter lights. depends on the game, but usually a steeper contrast between the two. and this game is heavy on that contrast and lighting effects which looks cool.
    shapin up to be the best lookin game on the ps3.
    makes sense. its not a port. brumley53 is correct.
    but yeah, nothing on either consoles has come close to being at crysis level.
    but just imagine...next gen...ps4 and x720 or w/e....all games will be better than crysis.

    the reason games that are on both are ported from 360 meaning that the ps3 has slightly worse graphics and the reason that they port from 360 is because its easier.

    "if it doesn't play on the 360 it wont run on the PS3 either" - tahts funny saying how we have blue ray drives which hold 50G compared to xbox disc's which are half of ps3's. plus ps3 graphics can run 1080p and i unlike xbox which only has one of those

    I've never seen a game on the PS3 any better than on the 360, if it doesn't play on the 360 it wont run on the PS3 either, PC is best bet. Needs better FPS, COD 4 looks about as good but with much better FPS.

    Can't compare this to Crysis either, 6.5/10.
