Whoa, this game looks promising. I played the demo and i agree that getting sucked on to every pipe or window is annoying when you want to do a cool four-story-jump. I've never seen a graphics glitch though... Lucky me. I really wanna get this game, i recommend it.

Really good, it's hard when it needs to and easy when it's needs to. Spoiler : Doing side missions to kick the Reaper/Dustmen out of the island is a really good concept of changing the view of the game.

    RECOMMENDED !

good concepts in the game, however, dont like to continuously run across the city, needed a better transport system than the railway lines, the moves are really cool though, they could have improved his appearance as he levels up his abilties (i.e. make him more bulkier with more battery cores maybe) ..must get though ps3 only!

Maybe I should give the demo a go. The combat looks a little repetitive and I'm concerned there's nothing else to do than jump around the city and shoot lightnings. Lack of close combat seems like a minus to me also. I was skeptic towards Batman too but it proved me wrong. Maybe this will too. I've never been a big fan of open-world games...

I traded my NFS Shift for this and I am not regretting it... It's a damn fun game. I've finally protected 50% of the Neon District. Now around 14 more side missions to go. Mobile Poison is fun. Destroying the big truck with shock grenades....

Looks like a fun game that I am going to have to buy. However, after playing the demo and reading up on this game that it is missing stuff. First thing that it is missing is just being able to customize your character, even if this was just hair, clothes, tattoos, piercing etc.. And secondly no multiplayer mode. They could have easily made this a multiplayer game. They could have had simple battles between Coles, or allowed co op play, or even allow others to log in as one of the bad guys. Mulitplayer just as one more thing you can do with a game that makes it last. Could you image a Infamous multiplayer game with multiple Coles fighting to the death? Sort of like FPS game? That'd rock.

The first time I watched this review, when it was released, I thought, "Well, as a 360 owner, it doesn't look like I'm missing anything." Now, I sold my Xbox to become a proud PS3 owner (price drop really helped that decision), and I thought I'd download the demo.

To all PS3 owners considering this game: The video footage does not even begin to convey how awesome this game is. It may not look like anything special when you watch the review, but it is far greater than the sum of its parts. I encourage anyone who was a doubter like me to go check out the demo. It feels so much better than it looks, and the graphics aren't as bad as the reviewer says they are. The buildings are murky, but that's kind of the point, isn't it?

Anyway, if you went "meh" after watching a few trailers, trust me when I say that the game is way better than you'd originally think. I will be buying this as soon as I can.

Also, I'd like to make the quick point that it can't be compared to [prototype] in terms of combat, since [prototype] was a hack-n'-slasher and inFAMOUS is more projectile-based, but they can be compared in terms of movement. I will say that [prototype]'s protagonist moves faster, but it gets boring because moving is such a mindless task. This game's movement is a mix between Spiderman and Assassin's Creed.

    ...I probably should've just written a review...

i thought the visuals were a (+) when i played thru. great game. i got prototype too, but something about it always been dark and holding down one button to run/jump and i never got into it.

This actually seems more fun than the Prototype, at least from the first look.

    *****SPOILER*****

Great game but absolutely nothing to do after you beat it and unlock everything, the city becomes literally dead. It's not like Prototype or GTA where you can go around causing chaos or anything you can only either start a new game or run around the city looking at people that love/hate you. Ya I got the platinum for this already.

This game is a must buy for any PS3 owner. Incredible and engrossing story, highly addictive gameplay, lengthy campaign, a great variety in side missions, and asome superpowers.

Did he say 30 hrs to play through the first time? excellent. I thought from watching this vid that the visuals looked good, all games have a few graphical glitches, nothings perfect. Hopefully picking up a PS3 250GB slim with inFAMOUS on Friday, can't wait!

After beating Prototype a few weeks ago and now playing this, it is extremely hard not to compare the two. The guys are almost the same in the same type of crumbling world. I haven't completed inFamous not even one time tho so I can't fully compare, but I do know that they have similar powers, can absorb memories, movement is similar but Cole is way slower and scaling buildings are more of a challenge especially with is "magnetism". Neither can swim, but Cole will eventually die if in the water too long.

The visuals in both games are unsurprisingly far from perfect. Both have pop-in, inFamous is a better looking game by a bit, but there are many graphical glitches, like walking thru rails and invisible walls. Music, I'd have to give it to Prototype, sfx im unsure..
Story definitely goes to inFamous tho, haven't even completed it yet but its a folding out better than Prototype's methods.

Overall, so far I'd give them both the same ratings, they are both very similar and inFamous looks like it will have more replayability compared to how frustratingly difficult Prototype can get.
If you can't get both, choose whichever one appeals to you more. Both are Great imo, inFamous is more of a shooter tho, and Prototype is more of a brawler.
