    Love the idea about re-populating zones. So many games leave those areas dead.

    Agreed on the fact about games (and movies! there's a lot of post-apocalyptic movies comin')

    And all the fuzz on inspirations, etc

    Before Borderlands and Fallout 3, kiddies, there was Fallout 1, 2, Tactics, Wastelands, Burning Time, Quarantine 2, and movies like Mad Max, Six String, Waterworld, Omega Man, and much more.

    I'm just wondering how many people actually realize that the fact that so many games are coming out in a post-apocalyptic world says something about our present lifestyle.

    Atomic bombs are really horrifying weaponry and yet people keep making more and more of them, so obviously it is a part of our culture that we have so many games that have that kind of future involved.

    It's just like zombies or any other myth. People created atomic weaponry and so we created the potential for a new kind of world destroyed by them.

    So I hope people stop arguing so much about which game this is a copy of and start thinking about what it would be like if you actually woke up and all of the bombs dropped.

    I hope you wouldn't say something like, "Dude! This is just like Fallout 3!" And then your friend would say, "No you moron! It's just like Borderlands!"

    Awesome games, but I could do without all of the nuclear bombs. Just like the zombie myth, I doubt that it would actually be all that fun in an apocalyptic world.

    And yeah, I know that it was a meteor in Rage, and Borderlands is just another world or something. But a lot of this apocalypse stuff comes from the A-bomb. So don't thank Fallout 3 or Borderlands. Thank the good old USA and the Manhattan project. Thanks A-bomb!

    Reminds me more of Mad Max than Fallout. Saying Rage looks like Fallout is like saying Doom looks like Alien. Everyone is crying plagiarism when all we have is a couple of trailers. I say wait before we start pointing fingers.

    Well it looks fun to me now so release it already lol,i know it won't be ready untill mid 2010 at the earliest ;-( but it looks like it will be worth the wait.

    I don't think about Fallout when I see this, I play fallout alot, This is a game that has speeed, and good looking monsters, car actions. The fighting in Fallout 3 Is almost all about AP,and it has been that since the first game. So this is not going to be like Fallout in the gameplay. Think this is going to have the things Fallout dosen't have, and Fallout is going to have things this game dosen't have. we'll see when it comes out. Just a Trailer and it says alot.

    looks good. im sure the feel- speed- and weapons will make for a better fps than fo3. hopefully it is no gfwl junk to ruin anything. bad thing is id is owned by bethesda parent now. i hope id quality does not go down. they id was of the best quality games. i really like q4. rage and bioshock2 are the 2 games i will get next..

    Yeah this does look good but i do think like a few other people do,that it's like a mix between fallout3 and borderlands,which is not a bad thing because if one is bad we can always play the other ones or if they are all good thats even better,the more choice we have the better just like all the FPS=moden warfare games,so bring them on as i'll play them ;-)

    i just hope i wont have to upgrade from my GTX 295 to play it! but it's coming out for the consoles. so specs shouldn't be sooooo tough

    Shooting would't be an orbit for this game. Its a car racing. No doubt id soft also wanna show off their new Game Engine in shooting action.
    But nothing concern like a serious shooter.

    I hope this game is gonna have singleplayer stats like kills and so on , because thats the one of the most important aspect for any open world shooter for me

    so according this jerk the game its going to be fun, the game-play its fun, the enemy's are fun, and every aspect of the game is fun, thank you ID for all the fun these couple of years.

    I like what they said about quests... that they don't want us to feel like were lost sometimes *cough* Fallout *cough* or gothic...

    I feel like they're about ten years behind. Just now thinking about making a game with a good story, id? I guess it's better to be late to the party than never showing up at all.

    ...and then I see this mediocre boring and bald men talking about a game like marketing executives do and it really turns me off. I loved to listen to the creative director of bioshock because I could clearly see how he wanted to make a great game wheather I liked it or not and that is the start of good art... not this mktng guys talking about "compelling stories", "fun", "cool and spooky" things.

    Rage is interesting, will definitely take this over the new Wolfenstein game.

    I hope this game is finally the game that is going to put id back on the map. They seriously need to pick up the pace. I don't think they've come out with a good console game since the Doom 3 port to the xbox back in 2004.
