    Aliens vs Predator was a game years before the first movie even existed. Before it was a game, it was in comics. In fact it may have been in comics before Predator 2 showed the Alien skull in the Predator's ship.

    I feel sorry for the people whose Alien and Predator experience comes from only seeing the AVP movies. They need to see the original movies.

    Predator Hunt is going to be the most enjoyable part undoubtedly. I've played more than my fair share of mods based around one person being partially or entirely invisible and the other players having to hunt him down. On top of that having a mixed-species team deathmatch will likely be an extremely confusing, but yet hilariously fun experience. I'm really looking forward to this game, and especially if it's anything like AvP2.

    Will the survivor mode be four-player split-screen? Also, will there be matchmaking for ALL modes?

    Well actually the first avp game came way before the avp movies but then that one was based on the comics that where based on the 2 movie franchises.
    What a way to go :p

    AvP1 still remains my favorite multiplayer shooting experience to date. No game has matched that kind of intensity (think Predator Hunt in dm_massacre, and the predator is shooting out all the lights.)

    AvP2 is one of the greatest let downs in gaming history. For me, at least. Sure, i played the hell out of it. And it was a fast, furious paced game. But there were tremendous latency issues, even at the best of times. And the creepy atmosphere in AvP1? Completely missing from this game.

    AvP (III?) has raised my expectations greatly, and i really hope Rebellion can pull it off. This game looks fantastic, and we rabid AvP fans have been waiting far too long.

    I'm pre-ordering as we speak. I don't care if it turns out fail, it's at least going to be a week of reveling in the graphic, gory kills i think the game has always deserved!

    @cantinor actually you are able to customize your chosen character, such as armour and races and skin color for the humans, helmets and armour for the predator and some details for the alien such as if you pre-order this at gamespot you get "subject 6" an alien skin which i think is a little bigger and has a 6 on its forehead @Olmon_300 actually i think the damage is pretty fair i mean it wouldnt make it fair that if you killed an alien u would have a 30% chance of living, with the predator and humans, they both have thick armour i could see a human being seriously injured but a predator was pretty much borne to kill aliens and i could see how his race would have adapted to the aliens acid blood

    i heard theres a mask for the predator that has the mouth of an "Xenomorph" or alien making you look part alien it would be cool if there was a "pred-alien" skin as the alien race =D

    loving that bit with the alien on the rock pillar just watchin an unsuspecting marine walk by, u know that right after there was going to be a brutal stealth kill. ( plus sum manical laughter)

    picking between this and splinter cell conviction is really hard for me but depending how good the rating are for this will decide for me which i should go with cuz both games look to have amazing multiplayer
    but either way im hoping this dosen't end up being a fail i hope its as good as i think it will be

    Looks great, my only complaint is that alien acid blood spatter doesn't seem to damage you at all.

    The best thing they could do in this is make team deathmatch 3 way..... with 3 species and the popularity of FPS at the moment. this games will hopefully set new boundaries.

    This game has obviously a good setting and a lot of exiting iussues, i must say that. However, at the same time, we have to admit that graphics lacks of details. We suppose to play next-gen games and a shooter means stunning visual and great effects. That's not what i have seen in this vid.

    this isn't a game from a movie. this is the 3rd game in the series, the 1st was released 10 years ago and it was just a game set in the universe of the two films, alien and predator (just like star wars games are set in the star wars universe, they dont have to follow the same stories). if anything, the AVP films are a product of the game.

    Heh, 8v1. Good chance for plenty of kill streaks

    I only remember watching my friend's brother ('s uncle's mother's sister's dog) playing that other one on the PC as a kid, and I always wanted to play it because it looked really cool with all the predators gadgets and funny symbols everywhere.. but they never let me.
    Well anecdote over, I think this is the type of game where you wait until after release to buy. If you're on a budget like me, there are other AAA titles already out, if not just about to come out. So I think this is on hold until I get very bored with the others or until the price drops.

    this game looks great. always wanted a avp online game and here it is. but im guna wait till ma boys at gamespot rate it first incase it sucks cus these vids have a way of pumpin you full of crap cross your fingers for a 9.0+ guys and girls

    for anyone not familiar with the original games. Each species has like 4 or 5 sub-classes, each with different loadouts. I'm sure something similar will be in this new game.
