Premier Manager 08 goes for goal

Thirteenth game in the soccer management series coming to PC and PS2 this summer.

Zoo Digital Publishing has announced that the latest edition of its football manager series--Premier Manager 08--will soon be ready to kick off. The game will be released on August 17, the day before the next season of the Premiership kicks off.

New features include a remodelled user interface to make for easier navigation, a revamped character system, new facilities--including training centres--and a new rewards system. The player database will also be updated up to summer 2007.

Zoo Digital Publishing's commercial director, Adam Prichard, commented, "The great thing about Premier Manager is that it is so user-friendly and offers a more 'pick up and play' experience than many of the other management games that are available. It provides an assessable entry point into management simulation for gamers of all ages and experience."

Premier Manager 08 will be available on the PlayStation 2 and PC platforms.

i dont understand why they make managerial games for consoles. i find it kinda weird. it just doesnt seem very pick up and play kind of thing. console games were never meant for pick up and play

Football manager is the real champ man.

sega bought sports interactive or something like that happened.

Eidos owned the ip championship manager.

But sports interactive and sega kept the old championship manager engine.

so football manager is made by the same team that brought you all the great champ man games,.

Thats why football manager is the real champ man, and the best by far football management simulation.

So if youre after a realistic football management expeirence you need to buy football manager 2007 for pc, or the 360 version is ok but its much better to play with a mouse and keyboard.

no console will come close to the ps2 if the price dont drop on all both consoles the ps3 and the xbox360 and this online first culture of the xbox360 has to stop imagine you're and my xbox360 without online play? scary no voice chat no voice messages no join a player in a game .it would only be turn youre console on the disk gets scratched from reading not moving the console ,the game freezes u get the rings of death, madden and fightnight frame rates slow down, u need a inter cooler it would be madness

"Pedro7_2000: Yeah, any publisher releasing a new console game only on the PS2 is dead."

Try reading the last line of the article again.

Championship Manager went downhill when the programmers left, they set up again and started work on Football Manager, hence FM is now the top dog and CM scampers behind trying to catch up.
