E3 2001 Preshow Report: Legends of Wrestling coming to the PlayStation 2

Acclaim jumps back into the squared circle with its wrestling game for the PlayStation 2.

Acclaim has announced that it is currently developing Legends of Wrestling for the PlayStation 2. No information has been released about the game, though Acclaim has owned the ECW license for several years, so it is possible that the game will be part of Acclaim's ECW line. However, considering the lack of popularity of Acclaim's previous ECW games and the fact that the WCW and WWF licenses are in question since the merger of the two leagues, it is more likely that Legends of Wrestling will be released without a license attached. We'll have more on Legends of Wrestling for the PlayStation 2 from E3.
