Oden dunks College Hoops 2K8

Ohio State center named cover star of upcoming basketballer to be released later this year.

Later today, the Portland Trail Blazers will decide which of the two top-rated college-freshman prospects will lead the NBA's incoming 2007 class. Earlier this week EA Sports threw in its lot with Texas Longhorn Kevin Durant, so it comes as little surprise that 2K Sports has named Ohio State Buckeye Greg Oden as its College Hoops 2K8 cover boy and official spokesman.

In Oden's single season at the college level, the 7'0" center led the Buckeye's to the 2007 National Championship, where he scored 25 points, had 12 rebounds, and blocked four shots. Along with Durant, he is among the first five freshmen to have been named to the Associated Press' All-American Team. Oden also received accolades as the Big Ten's Defensive Player of the Year and was included in the First Team All-Big Ten lineup.

Announced today for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Xbox 360, College Hoops 08 will be available this fall.

    Lebron's overrated and when he develops a jumper and good shot blocking skills and ability to swipe the ball, then we'll perhaps talk.

    Completely off topic of College Hoops 2K8 im going to say it any way. Bosh great player, really solid a mix of Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnet and those to I would love on my roster any day. Lebron though he I think is near the next level. Lebron is not unstoppible like MJ yet one day I think he will be. I honestly cant say Bosh is better then Lebron no matter how much I like Bosh.

    Lebron has at least made the finals. No one could've beat the Spurs that year so they were swimming in shark infested waters just being in the Finals with them.

    Going from the worst team in the NBA to the NBA Finals in what 4 years? Is a major feat. Look at teams like Denver who have completely stacked rosters and still can't make it out the first round.

    Yeah or just more proof that the East is terrible. I'd say the Cavs are the equivalent to the Lakers; one all-star with a bunch of scrubs. Anyway, they guy below you was saying that the Bosh wasn't an easy pick like Lebron was, although the #4 pick is obviously gonna be someone everyone thinks is good, and everyone thought Bosh was gonna be good so I don't see what he's trying to say.

    Bosh better than Lebron? lmao. Lebron is far better than Bosh, NBA finals with a garbage team is just more proof as to why Lebron is better.

    EA got the better player for their college cover, Durant is far better but college hoops is better than NCAA - the better player has unfortunetly been stuck with the worse game.

    and a good pick is when you take an underrated player and he becomes an allstar.

    just look at bosh. he was a much better pick then lebron because everyone knew he was amazing. when sam mitchell picked bosh fourth round in 2003 and everyone including vince carter (the big baby) was unimpressed but now look, he's the captain and one of the best players in the league.

    OSU lost to Flordia in the national championship in BOTH Football and Basketball. Why. WHY GOD. After we lost in Basketball I felt like going into a pottery store and breaking everything. And now Oden and Conley leave... ARRRRRRRHHHHGGGG
