Wii bowled over by Crave

Brunswick Pro Bowling coming to new Nintendo console, PlayStation 2, PSP; date, pricing to be determined.

Wii Sports Bowling just got a little competition. Crave Entertainment today announced Brunswick Pro Bowling for the Wii, and also for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. As its name indicates, the game will feature Brunswick-branded gear and bowling alleys.

In the career mode, players can work their way up from amateur to professional hotshot, Roy Munson style, and the multiplayer mode lets up to four players compete against each other. No specific details about the versions for each platform were given, other than that the PSP will include wireless multiplayer and additional character customization.

Crave has not yet announced a release date or pricing information.

Bowling has been neglected (by gaming companies) for far too long. Hopefully the Wii can bring it into the light as a legitimate sport and this game will give it the depth it deserves. Never heard of Crave though.. EA should do it.

About time a licensed bowling game comes out that might not be that bad. Maybe they might get some good bowlers in there and break the bowling game curse

Now Wii seriously need a "Big Lebowski" game. Bowling tournaments, multiplayer/online mode, plus free roaming in town fighting the German dudes and Porn mobsters (all that with smoked-up or drunk effects) ... please please please... my Mii and I are begging for it !!

Wow... another game in which you have to swing a controller. Wii Play have already killed the 'new innovative' controller-scheme. Bring us something new please!

What the wii really needs is an EA Professional Blowling game. like a tiger woods but for bowling. that would be the best bowling game probobly ever made, assuming they did it right.

I second the motion for House of the Dead. Not that I'm bothered by sports games for the Wii, but I really like those rail shooters. I suspect that those games will make it to the Wii as more developers (1) start thinking outside the cutesy Nintendo box and (2) realize that those sales numbers are real money waiting to be made.

What's most interesting to me is how many games are being made for the Wii and the PS2 / PSP. The games for the XBOX 360 and the PS3 seem to be in their own league, while the Wii is being lumped with a previous-gen console and a handheld. Interesting...

Hopefully it's made for the Wii and not made for the SP2 and ported to the Wii... If they made it for the Wii with full all out good Wii controls, it will rock, then port it to the PS2 with the push of a button... otherwise it will fail miserably.
