Jade Cocoon 2 goes gold

Ubi Soft is ready to ship the PlayStation 2 RPG in North America.

Ubi Soft has announced that Jade Cocoon 2 for the North American Sony PlayStation 2 has gone gold. Development on the game is complete, and it is scheduled to ship in December. Jade Cocoon 2 is a direct sequel and takes place centuries after the conclusion of the first game, in which Cocoon Master Levant purified the wicked Forest Minions and freed his village from a sleep curse. The game features a full 3D polygonal world, 200 cutscenes, and full voice-overs.

Jade Cocoon 2 supports one to two players and will carry a suggested retail price of $49.99.
