Instead of backgrounds, how about the music video?
That would be more interesting IMO

yeah but without backrounds in the game what do you have? a dull game is what you will have but if you have someone watching you play waiting for a turn then they will deffinetly notice the backrounds and such

Urgh... so adding Tool's art style to the game is good?
I dunno about you lot, but when I play Guitar Hero, I don't watch the pretty things going on in the background.
I'm more interested in the colours Green, Red, Yellow, Blue and Orange

Tool have blessed the game. Hell yeah! Now I can buy it and not feel like a sell out haha.

The Tool venue looks cool, but I'm not sure it's gonna be a personal fave. Awesome work none the less.

I'm definitely getting this. Not only because of Tool's involvement, which was already awesome in itself. Oct 26 is almost here!

Adam Jones seems like a really cool dude. I could imagine thousands of rabid, nerdy tool fans getting extremely worked up about this. =p

I am a fan of Rock Band to a very large extent, but I must admit that getting Tool is a huge advantage for Guitar Hero: World Tour. This trailer made their music seem much more than that of others; which it is.

    Well played, Activison.

    uhh...wow.

    frogiggy323.

Tool does not have a single song where it is a simple "rock song".

They have the most creative, un-repetitive songs out of any band in the world.

they have been my favorite band for 10 years and I have listened to the same songs and not one of them has gotten old.

where as you listen to a song from a band like Three Days Grace and it gets old the 5-6th time you listen to it.

    Tool.

Yeah! I'd buy GH just for the Tool songs. Hopefully there will be a DLC pack with more of their songs.

    @ Incetardis

Man I don't know where you live, but no stores are supposed to have it on display until the launch day at least. You're lucky I guess, lol. I really can't wait to put it up in my store and play some Tool. XD

GH is getting boring and half the songs on the games are always worthless

I have never heard of tool's music, but the venue does look like a really nice bit of polish to add to the game.

RB 3 does... next to nothing to counter it. (On the 360 version anyway)

  • irongobbo

    Posted Oct 17, 2008 3:34 pm PT

I like rythm games, and i like the new song creator with GH WT, so i cant wait to see what Rock Band 3 will do to counter this

  • shortys1803

Whats the big deal about being first? is life that pathetic? Tool is awesome and why would you even try to compare rock revolution to anything its such a waste of space and product. i thought it was a joke at first when i saw the game.

allotheabove123 Posted Oct 17, 2008 2:38 pm PT way better than rock band 2 or rock revolution

I really don'[t know how tool will work with guitar hero, they're songs are long and kinda repetative, I like tool, but I'll just have to wait and see.
