AU Shippin' Out August 4-August 8: Guitar Hero: Aerosmith

Steven Tyler and Co. debut on Wii, 360, PS3, and PS2.

The first band-branded Guitar Hero game is out this week, with Aerosmith being the chosen group to head the lineup of songs. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith features 25 Aerosmith songs and 16 songs from other artists, including the Kinks and some of Joe Perry's (Aerosmith's lead guitarist) solo work. The game has all the same modes that you've come to expect from a GH game, including career, co-op, face-off, and pro-face-off mode. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith comes out this Wednesday on the Wii, PlayStation 2 and 3, and Xbox 360, and will be available as a stand-alone game or bundled with a guitar, ranging from A$149.95 (US$139.63) to A$169.95 (US$158.25).

Today sees Sony's first wave of PlayStation 3 Platinum games come out. The games included under the banner are Resistance: Fall of Man, Heavenly Sword, MotorStorm, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, and they will each retail for A$49.95 (US$46.59).

    a platinum games lineup doesnt do that much for me. been there done that. and if the highlight of the rest has anything to do with guitar hero ive changed the browser screen already

    GH: Aerosmith has been out for several weeks now. I bought it...forced myself to play though the songs...and now it sits on the shelf.

    Sounds great, and as for the Aerosmith, it would be a far better game if it supported dlc.

    Aerosmith is a great idea but is way shortfails badly and a joke when it comes to achievements. I got 160 points after the first song, got it from playasia 2 weeks ago. Not even out here yet thats a good thing, a rental at best...
    Good to see platinum titles so fast! Now how about a platinum ps3 , lol

    All The Young Dudes
    I just dont see why the game couldnt be dlc really.
