First look: Cyclone Circus

Playlogic releases the first information on its upcoming wind-powered racing game for the PlayStation 2. First screens inside.

Netherlands-based Playlogic has today released the first information on Cyclone Circus for the PlayStation 2. The game, which is being developed by Playlogic's own Games Factory studio, will see players assuming control of wind-powered vehicles and competing in races at locations all over the world.

Cyclone Circus' most intriguing feature is that all of the 10 characters' upgradable vehicles in the game are wind-powered, so players will be required to control their speed with sail-trim control by using the right analog stick rather than by using an accelerator button. Each of the characters in the game will also have 12 unique stunts, although whether these will serve any purpose other than for scoring additional points isn't clear at this time.

Locales in the game will include Arizona, Asia, Antarctica, the South Pacific, Iceland, Africa, Paris, and the Outback, and there will be a secret bonus level. Further information on Cyclone Circus is scarce at present, but we'll bring you more information on the game, which is currently scheduled for release in December, as soon as it becomes available.
